Chapman has never really played for a team of this caliber. Yes, he has been on playoff teams, but not teams that were the favorites to win the World Series. Chapman is finally in the catbird's seat right now. He might turn down that for a mid-card team, but idk about a team like the Cubs. Theo is known for throwing money around when he has it available. He did have a huge payroll in Boston and used it well.

We don't know what Chapman will want to do or how he will feel about staying or playing with Cubs..

Wasn't my point.. Of course Edward's was the main man as reliever tonight

Nice to have him as the closer that some on here didn't want..

And even more so now with Rondon hurting a bit and who knows with Strop right now..

Just good to have a guy like that on our side...

Chapman is hard to predict because he's 28 and built entirely on speed. That being said he is worth probably something around $15 million a season.

With the rise of Edwards is lessens the bite with Rondon and Strop looking banged up. They need to bring up Grimm again if this goes DL.

What I would like to see is them resigning Chapman and converting Rondon into a starter.
