Wonder if it helps him "get back to him"? He hasn't had the best luck this season but I aint mad at that. I hope we blast him

Archer and Yu are pretty compatible in talent. For them it is more about losing a pitch and adjusting vs any talent lacking. Yu had a control issue with his 4 seam earlier season and just swapped it out with his 2. The talent is still there and it took a adjustment.

Just looking over the first few innings earlier Chris was using his 4 to set up a change/curve/slider/cutter. When you have that arsonal (like Yu has) you can scrap a pitch that has been easier to square up.

But the results are what you expect out of that talent. Chris finally came back down around the 100 pitch mark but that performance was worth the ticket.

Go Cubs.

No way ya pull one of your best relievers in the situation. Bad outcome but every coach allows it. No way you pull strop unless he allows that home run. He is way to consistent.
agreed, but i was sitting here with my son saying "man, he is off today, something aint right" and at the mound visit i was sure theyd either ask him about it or yank him.
But yeah, Strop has been Mr. Consistency for a while now.
I was just airing out my frustrations because i feel like i saw it when Maddon didn't. But maybe he did and left him in due to track record?

Kris Bryant is underrated in general. He is having the same year as his mvp season and cubs fans want to trade him for a brick

Bryant = deGromm. Prove me wrong.

I'm more concerned with the Reds. Their run differential doesn't match their win total. They start winning in division more then they become serious business all of a sudden.

If it were me I would be a buyer if I was them. They are under performing and they should address it because the central is going to be ripe.

Mil has played the Central tough. The East has been pretty easy for them. The West has spanked them. The AL has spanked them. I have a pretender feeling about them.

If you look at the records Cubs are .500 or better accross the board. So that tells me that they don't suck as much as some suggest.

IMO it could be a 2 horse race but the 2nd horse maybe unexpected.

Everyone in the division has a minus differential besides the Cubs and the Reds. Reds pitching has over performed. Cubs as whole has under performed.

Yea, I get ya. Strop is one of the best relievers in Cubs history for the length. I dont think ya a meatball. We all have reactions.

Pulos was in his 30s and is legit probably 2 to 3 years older then he says. Shut up
I pay $300M for a great 3rd like Arenado, not a very good player like Bryant. You dont handcuff your team like that
