It's a crap shoot when you sign or trade for older players, particularly pitchers. You never know when they're gonna fall off the table. Seemed like a decent signing at the time but now I'm wondering if he has enough in the tank to finish the season.

Lackey's production-per-salary has been phenomenal compared to the 6'5" Darwin Barney. But yeah Lackey's gassed.
Maybe we should stretch out Cahill when he comes back and give a few spot starts.
