Kevin Hayes would not have got anywhere near 45 points on the Blackhawks this year because he never would've gotten enough ice time in Chicago to accomplish that point total.

He's a right winger. The Blackhawks already have Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane occupying the top 6 spots at that position, and I don't see either one leaving for at least another 3 or 4 seasons. Hayes knew that, and that's why he didn't sign in Chicago.

Would've been nice to have him, but I don't think the Hawks are going to fall apart without him. Just a hunch.
