He's not quite as good as last year, his ERA 3.52 over a full run over last year but his FIP is 2.82 onl half a run worse. His WHIP is nearly identical at 1.045. He's a very, very good pitcher. Another example of the W stat not being very indicative of a pitcher's season.

If the Cubs do or don't score in the 8th, I hope they let Lester try and go for the complete game shutout.

Does Joe pull him or let him finish? He's only thrown 83. Sometimes anyone you bring in seems easier after facing a guy who's been tough...I think I send him out for the 9th.

Can a dude get hit off a bounce and get awarded 1st? That seemed bogus to me..... He was the tying run.

You can actually hit the ball off of a bounce. It is legal both ways.
