That can't possibly explain how they go from 14-14 on Thursday after the Game 1 loss to NYM to 22-18 as of this AM. That's 12 games in 5 days. It's a constantly flowing statistic.

The other day, Texas' record vs. teams over .500 was like 39-19. Today it's 37-18.
There are two things involved here. The over .500 changes on a day to day basis as it is the team's current record that is used. The other is strength of schedule. How good were the teams when they played against each other. To date the Cubs have a bottom 5 schedule in terms of hardness. Not a surprise really as the NL is pretty weak. About half the teams have no shot.

That's listed by players then days on the DL. Money is a bit meaningless on the cubs because most of their hitters are cheap.

Better way to look at it is probably this
Zac Rosscup RP CHC Shoulder 94 $269,404
R.J. Alvarez RP CHC Elbow 94 $261,978
Dallas Beeler RP CHC Undisclosed 94 $261,226
Christian Villanueva 3B CHC Leg 94 $260,662
Kyle Schwarber LF CHC Knee ACL 89 $253,828
Jorge Soler LF CHC Hamstring 29 $581,044
Tommy La Stella 2B CHC Hamstring 28 $81,396
Matt Szczur CF CHC Hamstring 19 $53,105
Miguel Montero C CHC Back 17 $1,300,551
Dexter Fowler CF CHC Hamstring 17 $743,172
Clayton Richard RP CHC Finger 15 $163,935
Javier Baez 2B CHC Thumb 13 $37,011
Chris Coghlan LF CHC Ribs 3 $78,690

Thanks. So the Cubs are what the 9th healthiest team to date.

When you steamroll 62 percent of the teams you play, your SOS is bound to tank as a result. That's a large part of it. SOS means less in baseball than in sports like college basketball.

SOS is the same way. Rangers were 1 a week ago and now there 10th.

I hate Maddon lineup today. Baez is batting like .370 plus against lefties and you got him 9th and Russell 5th who is batting in the .100's.

In a strong field of absurd forum statements made by you, that the Cubs are one of "the more healthy teams in the league" has got to rank near the top. Do you have any objective data, at all, to justify this?

Given I have yet to see you make a meaninful post IIRC, did you not see the link that BeckDawg posted that showed them as the 9th healthiest team?

That was a strike. You gave none of those to Lackey.

I would agree only because they play less.

I saw that beckdawg's link defaults to dollars. Not an ideal way of looking at things. If you look at impact players (Kyle) and the minus' and plus' of said players (Ex. baez) you get a better picture.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
The beat goes on with these home plate umpires. Just brutal.

It's not even that. It's more so that you play vastly different schedules. The fact that the Cubs get the Reds 19x vs. 7 with the Mets has less weight than a bubble team from the ACC fighting for a spot against a bubble team from the Sun Belt or the Mountain West in college basketball. Basically a top-to-bottom different schedule.
