Could one of you guys set up the interleague thread? It's the Sox forum's turn to host.

I assume that Quintana was on some sort of pitch count...

Not to mention having to weigh whether to pinch-hit or not, being a NL game.

I didn't watch the game at all, but the fact that the White Sox scored only one run suggests that there were many more to blame than just the manager.

Also, it looked like Reed (your self-annointed awesome closer) was the one who couldn't execute, with a little help from his defense. Not sure what's wrong with Thornton, but whatcha gonna do. Scoring one run doesn't leave a lot of room for error.

Not to mention the part where they are playing in a NL park so at some point you need some offense for insurance. If Quintana had given up the tying and winning runs I'm sure there'd be complaints there too.

The game is so much more different than it used to be so the guys who can throw complete games every single time out are few and far between. That's just the way it is.

He had 77 through 8. A chance to give the pen a breather & Robin puts in Reed because "he's the closer".

You don't get many opportunities to pitch a CG shut out. The guy was dealing. Just absolutely inexcusable managing by Robin.
