The bible says though shalt not kill

yet the bible has a bunch of accounts of wars....especially in the old testament

the israelis during the 60s or 70s i think used the bible(some story i really dont remember) to help win them a battle vs. the palestinians..i dont know the specifics but you get the point from the example

plus there's a lot more specifics to these commandments than just verbatim

From what I understand, once they get out of the car they are fair game. Oh, and all of your money magically appears glowing around their lifeless body for you pick up when you're through.
Exactly!!! I mean they vanish after a short time, so theres really no proof of their existence aside STDs :shifty:

And many religions forbid Pork, premartial sex, porn, and many many things. And thats why Im a happy American, at least until those cocksucking Californians get everything banned. But there is a difference to killing via under military/ police authority to self defence vs straight out murder. Even the bible had Gods Isralites, ack cant spell tonight lol, invading with an army. But straight out murdering is forbidden.

I remember this argument back in seminary. Everyone and their mother had an opinion or interpretation on it. I don't think two people amongst a few hundred participants had similar takes. Incredible stuff.

"God kills people, therefore it's okay to kill people."

ya, it's definitely the toughest of the 10 commandments to really understand(other than maybe the first one, simply because its all on your faith)

i dont think "You shall not kill" could simply be interpreted as just not allowing murder either..but thats just my thought

Probably two different accounts. But I remember one night during a war/battle, some general was reading the bible and stumbled upon a section that was speaking about the exact area he was in. In The Bible some people took some hidden trail to get from point A to B. The general found that trail and it helped them come from behind the enemy and win.

This reminds me of one of the latter Commandments, I believe 'Thou shall not commit adultery' or perhaps 'Thou shall not covent thy neighbors wife'. Shit I cant remember them all at the moment lol. But point Im making is despite the straight forwardness of the Commandment, it was also taught with the hidden definition that even having a fantasy of anothers wife was a direct breaking of the rule. We know Thou shall not kill, yet in War, its 'justified' as its 'Gods Army'/'Gods Will' to many.
