  1. Chicago Bears
I do, with a caveat.

At a bare minimum, Luke Getsy is fired.

Too early to say for sure by any criteria but with the info we have right now, sure.

But you also have to figure, if we have the #1 pick there's a reason and we still have another 1st rounder to play with.

I'm pretty sure he'd be the consensus #1, so if we had the worst record again, it'd be a no-brainer.

My question would be, if the Bears finish in the bottom 5 or so, do you trade the additional 1st to move up?

No one is trading down if they have the first pick this year.

If the first pick is CHIs pick and not CARs yeah this iteration of the team has failed and you clean out the coaches, trade fields for a peanuts, hire an offensive minded coach and happily draft Williams. Hell even if this team wins like 5-6 games and it’s CARs pick you probably do that anyway.

Sure, it's all hypothetical...but what if Williams clearly states he'll refuse to play for the team with the number one overall?

(Yes, I know the Bears suck too and have a horrible track record with QBs, but he's probably not going to a good team anyway.)

I hope we're nowhere near the top of the draft. I don't want this shit organization to ruin another QB.

The best thing that can happen to the Bears is that they win one or two games, avoid the disgrace of setting or tying the record for mots losses consecutive, and pick second overall. Everyone gets fired, Arizona picks first overall and the Bears get the best-of-the-rest pick.

As things are presently constructed no quarterback, not Tom Brady or Pat Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, can survive and learn to play with this personnel group. Caleb Williams would just be picking Chicago as his place to let his NFL career die, and it would benefit nobody. They need to replace all five guys on the offensive line with radical improvements to have any chance.

Put off the quarterback search for a year or two and build a real team.

Only if you replace the GM and HC first.
How many times are the Bears going to let a lame duck GM choose the next QB then get fired the next year?

There's about a zero percent change Poles is a lame-duck GM after this season regardless of what happens. Not only is Fields not his own pick but there's speculation that Eberflus was basically foisted upon him. The Bears are also known for some unwarranted loyalty, with the only notable exception being Phil Emery.
