Oh and quick response as to why we kept Patton on the roster the whole of last year: Because he was a rule 5 draft pick you aren't allowed to send them down, if you want them off the roster then you have to send them back to the team you drafted him off (I believe we got him from the Padres) Maybe Lou and co saw something in him and was hoping with a bit of experience he may improve but obviously it hasn't worked out that way.
