I kind of like the Bears waiting for a few reasons. One, if people are Questioning the Oline, which really only has one new starter when you think about, see if it works, because next year you could also be looking at Two new starters, given Daniels is on the last year of his rookie deal and Ifredi, isn't really a RT playing the spot. I'm glad we have more depth and young players behind them, but they at least have a 2nd and a 3rd to add to that next draft if they need to.

No matter ho good Fields is, he may not have a number 1 WR next season given what Robinson will likely want to be paid, teams have proven you don't need a number 1 to win a title, but it sure helps if the Bears found a way to keep him.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
I have been saying it since the draft, he will surpass AD based of talent alone mid camp and the bears will be hard pressed not to start him Week 1.

He is a fucking baller.

Edit: 1:01 for JF

He's likely not going to start week 1 because that's not optimal. I'd look at week 2 or 4 at home in easier matchups, week 4 being the most likely.

I was happy when we drafted him. I was honestly surprised that he was not a top three pick and the Broncos passed on him...

That being said I think to start him day one would be a mistake and I think the Bears feel the same way.

Bears are not going to win the Superbowl this year. No reason to put him out there prematurely.

Everyone beyond the Jaguars fucked up IMO.

This is actually quite funny coming from a fan of a team that passed on Watson and Mahommes for Mitch bustisky
To be fair, picking Trubisky over Watson was the error because Watson obviously had a better body of work. No one except KC saw Mahomes coming.

If anyone knew how good he’s be, all teams that didn’t have Rodgers, Brady or Wilson would have done anything they could to draft him. Including the Lions.

Obviously it’s going get faster.

I’m just saying he has the it factor.
Hard to know when he'll be ready but it's not like he'll be at a big disadvantage when they start seeing more pressure. It's never been one of Dalton's strengths. Best case is the OL sorts itself out so Dalton can effectively start a few games. Once the staff thinks Justin is stagnating, has game prep and review down etc., they'll look for that opportunity to put him in unless Dalton and the team are doing very well. With this schedule, that won't be easy.

The talent is apparent. What's also apparent is his willingness to learn, and he's growing quickly.

That said, from everything the local beat guys are saying, Fields is still very much having rookie moments and mistakes, while Dalton is showing himself to be the sure-footed veteran comfortable in the offense, albeit without much dynamicism.

Nothing wrong with any of that.

Fields is the real deal, it seems. I still don't think he starts Week 1. Nagy has made up his mind, and it doesn't look like Dalton has coughed up the job or stumbled much.

I still cant believe we got justin. He is the QB i wanted but didnt think there was a chance in hell of getting him. I hope he turns out to be the star i think he can be.

With his anti-vax stance he may have elevated him to GOAT status. ?
The whole concept of not getting vaccinated if you play in the NFL is incredibly stupid. The NFL is a social game. You line up within a foot of the guy playing across from you and are facemask to facemask at times. When you get tackled, those motherfuckers are right up in your face yelling shit at you at the bottom of the pile. You are in closed meeting rooms for hours at a time. There's simply no practical way that you aren't going to be exposed to covid at some point. It's time to stop worrying about some dickweed in office looking bad and start worrying about practical matter: a virus that was likely designed to be a weapon (the presence of double-spike protein has exactly zero occurrences in nature prior to this) slipped out of a lab and will ultimately likely infect the entire world. Delta variants are on the rise and Epsilon and Lambda are right behind it.

At least get the vaccine so that at the very least you don't die when you're exposed to this shit.

Please for fucks sake settle down people. I’m as excited as anyone. But he hasn’t even played a single preseason snap. To say we finally have a franchise QB is premature.

Not saying don’t be excited. I AM EXCITED. Just maybe try not to jiz all over the place just yet….
