Chicago is the third largest city in North America

Needs to lose the 'north' or detach Mexico from the North America.

See, this is what happens when they don't have the ASG feed on free to air digital TV here...

__

Other than that- shoring up a team for a play off run, rest of it is unsubstantiated as best as I can tell.

doug weight....interesting.

Interesting, I'll agree. What other names are out there at center? Sure, Weiss and Fisher would be great additions, but expensive both in cost (return) and cap hit (we can add the equivalent of around $2mil cap/year right now). Arnott (expensive cap hit)?

If we do get into the playoffs, does Sharpie go back to C to band-aid the lack of center depth we have?

You guys know he is talking about when he says this.... There are persistent reports from various sources of a recent dressing room/bench flare between a player who shows up and works hard every night and a couple of players whose commitment and discipline have been questioned repeatedly. I believe at least one of the latter two players will be dealt.

We could maybe squeeze a Weiss or Arnott into the mix. The cap is determined by the players cap divided by number of days left in the season. I'm not sure on the exct formula, but I will look it up

I am still trying to figure out who he is talking about. I mean the only partyboy on the team is kane (that we know of) and has many of times this year just played like a *****.

bolland?

You're not implying Kane here are you...really? Please tell me you're not.

What a poorly written article.

Guy had about a paragraph of actual info/opinion and he stretched it out to fill a page and a half by constantly repeating the same vague ideas. Awesome.

Who are the two bums that are on the chopping block?

I'm suddenly remembering why I do my best to avoid hockey rumor talk.

Jaeckel isnt bad, ecklund is the guy i cannot stand....but anyway, we are trying to figure it out. kane is obvious but he wont get dealt, i mean the 4th line guys im not concerned with. my guess is bolland to be honest.

It's definitely not Kane. Come on.

Stalberg has to be one of them. Granted, he's not a big name guy, but he hasn't shown a damn thing.

Bolland- A month ago, maybe but he's been hot lately and has genuinely been playing well. Also, he's valuable just by being a center.

Skille has been disappointing from a scoring standpoint, but it's hard to argue with his effort. The fact that he was benched for a few games is interesting though.

Brouwer and Kopecky- neither has made the jump that they should have with the loss of last year's depth, but has their "commitment and discipline" been questioned? I doubt it.

Bickell and Dowell have both been great. Can't be them.

After thinking things over, I'm going Stalberg and Skille.

Awe Christ...Dews caught my laziness. So, now that I've just actually read that shitty article: :D

This isn't anything to go nutty about. Here's how I read it - It definitely IS Toews vs Kane and player X (at least, could be players XYZ). JJ is saying Kaner won't be moved (does going into why not really have to be explored?), but rather player(s) X(YZ) will as they are young, immature, and under-performing.

Also, JJ is writing that there is a subtle message for Kaner...

we should comprise a list of 2nd line centers who may be available.
