This is a tough question. Man, do we need a QB, but shit, I think Jamal Adams will be a monster at the next level. Instant leader for 10 years in our secondary. This will be interesting to see what Pace is gonna do.

Don't be at all surprised if it's Jabril Peppers at 3, his performance at the combine, overall versatility and the Fangio/Harbaugh connection...

The draft is deep in DBs...I wouldnt take 1 at 3. DBs in the 1st round also have 1 of the highest bust rates. Assuming Garrett is gone, Id go Watson, Trubisky or Solomon Thomas.

Adams just seems like a SS to me. I don't see a playmaker, but merely a solid player. That's my guess anyway.

I'd go Watson, trubisky, Adams. In that order. It's close between thomas and Adam's tho. I think all of the listed players will be studs. We will get a great player at 3 as long as he doesn't get cute and make a Emery wtf pick.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. FC Dallas
  1. Toronto Raptors
  1. Dallas Cowboys
  1. Vancouver Canucks
  1. Radford Highlanders
Peppers is sought out by a lot of the teams. If not all!

Solomon Thomas makes a ton of sense if Fangio thinks he can play 5T

There are a lot of impact players on D that we could nab at #3. Yeah we badly need a QB but Trubisky/Watson are hit or miss. There are guys on the defensive side who are
definite hits. I think we either go Garrett (god if he's there), Allen, Thomas, or Adams. Of those 4 this would be my preference.

1. Garrett
2. Thomas
3. Allen
4. Adams.

We could take a QB in the 3rd-4th that will get a shot.

We could go Mahomes, Webb, Kaaya, or Peterman after the 1st round at QB. I just think that these prospects on D are too much to refuse. There will be options at #3 for sure.

We could also go defense in round 2 and 3. Watson will be a star in the league and we will regret it if we pass on him, book it.

You could be right, but you could also be way off. Allen, Thomas, Garrett, and Adams are all much more likely to be what we're looking for than Watson.

Thomas seems to fit Pace's profile for high #1 picks better than Adams. First, Thomas has the uber-athlete measurables that Pace looks for at that level. Adams measurables are really solid, but not elite. Second, Pace's first two drafts have been very top-heavy along the line with his early picks. So far, White has been his only pick in the first three rounds that wasn't DL, OL, or edge rusher. There's a pattern there, one that would make Jim Finks proud. Thomas would seem to be a higher risk pick than Adams, but Pace clearly isn't risk-averse with his high #1s...

I suspect Hooker could be the wild card here, if his measurables turn out to be at the uber level, too. As for QB, I don't think Pace goes for the "tallest midget" at QB with the #3. That's just completely opposite to the BPA philosophy he espouses.

Watson. He's the only that has the potential to be the catalyst to someday win a title. Maybe he busts and we are back at square one, but worth a try, All of the other plans are shooting to be a better/good team. Yippee.

I'd go Solomon Thomas without question. His ceiling is higher than the player Michael Bennett is right now.

I think he goes #2 to SF though. With this being arguably the deepest DB draft class in the last decade, I think it's extremely unlikely Pace goes a Safety at 3.

Every year there's that player or two that the media isn't talking about in the same light as scouts and executives. I think that player is Marshon Lattimore. He's my dark horse pick at #3.
