Thomas seems to fit Pace's profile for high #1 picks better than Adams. First, Thomas has the uber-athlete measurables that Pace looks for at that level. Adams measurables are really solid, but not elite. Second, Pace's first two drafts have been very top-heavy along the line with his early picks. So far, White has been his only pick in the first three rounds that wasn't DL, OL, or edge rusher. There's a pattern there, one that would make Jim Finks proud. Thomas would seem to be a higher risk pick than Adams, but Pace clearly isn't risk-averse with his high #1s...
I suspect Hooker could be the wild card here, if his measurables turn out to be at the uber level, too. As for QB, I don't think Pace goes for the "tallest midget" at QB with the #3. That's just completely opposite to the BPA philosophy he espouses.
