When players go to hell in a hand bag ala Kapernick and Stafford, they get rid of them they don't hang on aimlessly hoping that they'll turn the corner, nope they either bench them or get ready to cut them outright. The Bears, they linger, they hope they that eventually Cutler will find reach his talent.

Real teams know the failure is real and as these QBs age they won't get any better and they rip out the cancer. The end is near for Kapernick and Stafford but the Bears, they'll keep on keeping on.

Jay Cutler is the embodiment of purgatory. Bad enough where he will lose you games and frustrate you. But good enough where he will win you games and show flashes of greatness that will make you think he will turn the corner eventually

I mean Cutler could be better but there are quite a few that have underperformed much more than Jay over a career. Jay leads the NFL in the last five years in 4th quarter winning TD passes. He is a pain but he is far from the worst. I'd take him any day over guys like Alex Smith.

Keep beating that drum though, I'm sure eventually we will get another QB for you to complain about.
