My favorite teams
Mike Tice was no GURU he was a BUM!
In 2012 the Bears kept 8 Olinemen on the final 53 man roster:
J'Marcus Webb, Chris Spencer, Roberto Garza, Lance Louis, Gabe Carimi, Chilo Rachal, Chris Williams, and Edwin Williams... This year everyone but Garza had to replaced...
This tells me that the guy knew more about horses than lineman. From 2010-2012 he had two 1st rounders to work with: Chris Williams and Gabe Carimi whom he personally vouched for coming out of college. His only "successes" are J'Marcus Webb and Lance Louis, who most would consider average at best.
During the entire time Tice was the O-Line "specialist" the Bears failed miserably to develop high draft picks or stack any depth, meanwhile the team and media kept telling us how he was the best o-line coach in the nfl... Bears fans should feel insulted that we were lied to and deceived by that meatball and the media that played up his lovable tough guy act. Never has a bigger failure been more beloved in this city.
What does it say for Jay Cutler that he survived and had any success at all behind the offensive lines this guy cobbled together over the last 3 seasons. No wonder he didn't respect Tice or communicate well with him, its amazing that he didn't ask to be traded from the Bears after 3 years of being beaten to a pulp behind Tice's crappy O-Lines. Meanwhile Cutler is the one hated by the media and fans, meanwhile Tice is the great guy everyone wants to have a beer with...

Thank goodness the Bears have closed the door on the Lovie Smith/Jerry Angelo/Mike Tice era.
