Let's see where things stand after 82 games... talk is cheap. I don't think anyone ever predicted that the Bulls were going to win over 70 the season that they did, before the season -and this preseason hype stuff is just so much bullshit.

Anyone else think the media is taking this record thing over the top a bit? I do.

Do they not understand how focused on the record the Heat will have to be to pull off this obsticle? Too much.

Should we as Bulls fans be worried about it now, or even mid-season? Nope.

If, and when, this idea should present itself and become a reality....so be it.

I am not taking sides here, but I don't see it happening.

Then why operate a message board?

If it were any team other than the Bulls this board would be speculating more about this.

Good point.

I just do not see that record being broken. So anything about it is speculation.

Also if it is broken what do you guys think......without a championship it doesn't matter? Kind of like the Patriots 18*-1 record

I don't think, in this case, the whole is greater than or even equal to the sum of it's parts. It's not just having the best pieces; you have to have the right pieces. You can have a car with the most powerful engine and the most aerodynamic body in the world, but without 4 wheels you won't get very far.

As good as James, Wade and Bosh are, they still have only one ball and 48 minutes to work with. You can't just add up their averages from last year and say they will score that many points, this year. (I don't think anyone is suggesting they will.) Somebody's numbers will have to go down considerably, probably Bosh's.

All three players can't be the primary scorer every game. The Heat will be very good this year, no doubt, but they still have weaknesses that good teams can exploit.

I still think they win between 60 and 65 games this year, but I don't see them threatening the 72-10 record.

I agree, Topeka. I think Bosh's and LeBron's shot attempts will both go way down. That's the consequence of LeBron being the best playermaker/passer on that team. I understand he's the most dominant scorer in the league, but they need him as the main facilitator.
