I kind of like that they're trying new things. I think Morin has tons of potential and has just been unlucky because he hasn't had a lot of NHL ice time.

Pirri should get a crack at the #2 center role

We already saw some of him.

When did we already see some of him?

He played great in the pre-season and in one regular season game. In the regular season he had 1 assist in 1 game. In the pre-season he played great.

I'm a big fan of Morin and hopefully his concussions don't turn into a bigger issue than they already are. Really interested to see where he slots in on this team.

But he couldn't play more than 8 because of his contract.

I'm a big Morin fan too, but Smith is my favorite. It's nice to see some variety though.

You have Pirri confused w/ someone else if you are talking about the 8 game thing. Possibly Saad. Pirri is playing very, very well in the AHL and I like what I saw from him earlier this year at the NHL level.

Ahh. Dang it, you're right. I thought I was thinking of someone else, but I couldn't remember who it was. Thanks. No wonder there was confusion.

I'd like to see Pirri have a chance at 2C, but I still think putting Kane back there would be the best. Just look at Kaner's assists.

Morin played well today. I love his style of play. Hope he stays up for awhile.

Why would they showcase Morin? Hawks need some sand paper in the top 6.

He provides it.

J, surely you know how badly I want a bonafide top 6 power forward. Realistically considering Morin is the answer to this is well, really stretching it. Improving the defense corps takes precedence. The team needs that more.

Morin is likely trade bait, but I don't want him to be. I think him and Saad are the future of the Hawks when Hossa and Bruno and such are too old.
