Has anyone bought a jersey from them? Im thinking of buying myself a birthday present and think its time for a new sweater. Im looking to get one of the premier jerseys(im not made of money!!). But before i take the walk over to michigan on my lunchtime tomorrow, i want to know if its worth going to them over waiting to order from triple threat.

Do the premier jerseys at the Blackhawks store have stitched on numbers? or are they like the ones youd get from nhl.com with the screen printed numbers with fake stitching looking printing on the numbers? If im going to spend the money, i want something stiched. i know the shoulder patches will be the stitched screen printed fake tomahawks, but those can always be replaced. Anyone have any insight? or is it really better to go to triple threat and wait a couple weeks?

The biggest difference is the price. Triple Threat is less expensive, and their quality is as good or better.

EG: I was just at Triple Threat today. Authentic, non-customized jerseys are $299. I think to customize it is like $25. Hawkquarters is around $400 for the same thing, I believe.

Hint: Try telling them you are a season ticket holder. It's worth a 10% discount. If that doesn't work, and you have Harris bank card, you can also get 10% off.

Pat none of the jerseys at either location are really "authentic". So it's almost worth it just to purchase an official replica if you don't want a cheap knock off.

The players wear RBK Edge II jerseys.

NHL.com, Fandamonium (or brand name Blackhawk Story), and TTS all sell RBK Edge I jerseys. The jerseys with the Funky material the NHL players hated and refused to wear.

So take "authentic" lightly as the NHL allows RBK to out right LIE in saying they are "authentic" because they really aren't.

Yeah, I forgot aboot that.

The Blackhawk Store is worth a look, though.

I believe BlackhawkPaul bought a #18 jersey there that was used for one of the puck dropping ceremonies. It didn't have Savard's name on it, but those things are easily changed. I think he got an RBK Edge for <$200.

I bought my Babchuk jersey there too, before RK got a chance to get it.

i was planning on getting the 150-180 ish customized jersey. ive just seen from nhl.com the number and nameplate is a screen printed number with fake stitching around the edges to make it look nice.

i dont really care to spend 3-400 bucks on a jersey at this point, but i want numbering that is made of fabric and is stitched on. i know thats how TTS does it if you pay for their customization. I want to know if fandamonium/the blackhawks store does it the same way as them, or if they do it like nhl.com store.

While this is all the truth, in essence it really doesn't matter. If you are a fan that wants as close to what the players wear on the ice, then you get the Edge I. Yes, it's not identical to what the players wear, but its the only jersey that has a fully embroidered crest and shoulder patches. They can also take a huge beating. Yes, the players refused to wear them, because they didn't absorb moisture, but for the casual fan, THAT'S ACTUALLY A GOOD THING as they are less likely to stain if you spill something on them.

In this case, I'm glad they aren't "authentic". They are close enough for me.

But to Fat Pat's original question, I can't say enough good things about TTS. For me, and I've bought a jersey at both places, I'd wait for TTS.

It doesn't matter to YOU. Sure.

It matters to ME.

No identical? The ONLY thing on it the same is the Patches. ONLY!

Sorry if I'm shelling out that much cash and it says "authentic" it better be the same fucking thing the players are wearing. I have both types of jerseys and completely disagree the Edge I are just as nice as the Edge II. Ask me some time and I'll show you. The Cut on the jersey is different just as the material is.

And no they don't take near the beating that the Players jerseys do. They pull extremely easy. Another reasons the players do not like them. My Seabrook I've had for a year has several material pulls. My other Seabrook I've had for 4 years, has none. Again I have them both and the Edge II are much nicer. Why they don't sell them to the fans is FUCKED! And another dumb move by a SHITTY company!

Ron, I'm not arguing with you on this, but what are you going to do? You can't order an Edge II jersey, so the customer is left with two choices. Edge I or a replica. To compare Edge I with Edge II is pointless if you cannot buy one of the two sweaters you are comparing.

As for the Edge I vs. a replica, its not a contest. The Edge I is better in every aspect. You say the Edge I is overpriced, but I'd rather pay $325 at TTS for something that, to me, looks and feels pretty damn nice, rather than pay $160 for a replica that looks like it has two iron-ons on the shoulders.

It's a personal preference, but just because the Edge II is better than the Edge I in every way doesn't mean the Edge I isn't a nice jersey, because it is.

I have to agree. I was amazed at how much different my Bolland jersey was compared to the other "authentics" I have. Although, it is obvious that Bolland had his jersey tailored a bit...which got me thinking about doing the same to my other "authentics" so they fit me better.

Back to the original question, yes the jerseys from HQ will have stitched nameplates and numbers. They have a good amount of pre-lettered and if there's something you want customize they send it out to the same shop that does the teams' lettering.

They're not $400. I got mine at Hawkquarters in October and it was $350, $300 if you want it plain. and they had tones of them in stock so I was able to walk in and walk out in 10 minutes with the red #88 I wanted.

Is that true about the Harris Bank card discout? I had no idea and I have an account there, damn.

Evan it just means it's not authentic.

I bought a 3rd replica. The only replica I own out of about 60 jerseys.

I like it and it was only 180.

I have three Edge II jerseys and I like them far more than the Edge I. I hope someday RBK pulls thier head out of their ass and I might just spend my money on a new "authentic". Until then I won't buy one again. Kind of bait and switch.

thanks for the help guys. i walked to hawkquarters today and picked up a premier keith jersey. i was really, seriously eyeing the authentic...but i couldnt pull the trigger at $365. Theyre really really nice. the crest and the shoulders are really nice to have be realyl embrodered. I think ima pick up some embrodered shoulder patches and replace the ones on this sweater, as its really y only complaint with the look of the premeir. All the lettering and number is pretty well done.

Ill get my next one at TTS, but this late in the season i cant really afford to wait.

It's exactly bait and switch, not kind of. I suggest Sonny starts a class action law suit against RBK and the NHL and that all the plaintiffs are awarded 5 Edge II jerseys of their choosing.

Sound good everyone?

okay, considering sweaters...i have a dumb question:

Assuming I pick up a premier "plain" one, would TTS put on real numbers/name if i have a relative out there take it in, or would it be that iron on crap?
