okay, considering sweaters...i have a dumb question:

Assuming I pick up a premier "plain" one, would TTS put on real numbers/name if i have a relative out there take it in, or would it be that iron on crap?
TTS has never put cheap ass shit alphanumerics on any jersey I have given them.

I got a jersey from NHL.com, anyone know how much it would cost at TTS or somewhere closer in town to change the nameplate and number on it?

Interesting... 60 bucks just seems a lot to me for something that only cost $150... course I think the jersey was 100 with 50 for the lettering, so I guess that sounds about right.

Give me a CCM anyday.
Me and my Fianceé's sweaters are CCM...I just mean if mine dies--I may not be able to find a CCM again. At leat i can ask a relative out there to send it to TTS

Plus, I learned the lesson from my bro and a friend--every time my bro wore his cheap E-bay knockoff Toews jersey....well, that's when the late-year losing streak happened.

Chaps may know of someone who deals with CCM jerseys. He mentioned it once but I can't remember the name.

Hey Fat Pat, do I have a deal for you, if you don't want to spend 400 , 300 , or 200 better yet 100. My cousins brothers friend who knows this guy who's sister is married to this Chinese guy who knows someone that works from his trunk off of Damen and Western. He can get you an Hawks Reebok jersey for 58.99. the only thing is he told me that Reebok sold its rights to Seebok and they make them in China. But don't worry its official he swore to my friend. He said he has next years jerseys only thats 2011!!. the Indian is smaller and has a Adams apple. Its a little yellow in his face kinda like he's got Jaundice. And if you act now he will sell them at 55 a piece and throw in a hawks fortune cookie.

I ran into that same guy. He said the jerseys fell off a truck so you know they are legit.

my parents got me a knockoff ccm keith jersey for christmas. the lettering and patches are really nice, but the indianhead is small and wrongly shaped. every time i wore it they lost in decisive fashion.

i wore it to game 5 vs. nashville up until they were losing by one. took it off, then miraculous playoff win!

i wore my new jersey on tuesday, im happy to say this one isnt cursed.

Uhhh...Damen and Western run parallel to each other. Might want to fix that loophole in your story! LOL
thanks for the help guys. i walked to hawkquarters today and picked up a premier keith jersey. i was really, seriously eyeing the authentic...but i couldnt pull the trigger at $365. Theyre really really nice. the crest and the shoulders are really nice to have be realyl embrodered. I think ima pick up some embrodered shoulder patches and replace the ones on this sweater, as its really y only complaint with the look of the premeir. All the lettering and number is pretty well done.

Ill get my next one at TTS, but this late in the season i cant really afford to wait.
Usually I do not squander that much on the cost but nearing the later part of the season I wanted a Niemi made. At the game I bought a premier and had them do the heated name plate. It was ready by the time the game was over. Cheaper yes but convience was my biggest reason. I still love the jersey and frankly even though it is autographed I do not mind wearing it with the fear it will get ruined somehow.

Either way.......... you are still a fan and showing your support with an authentic product!

an "almost" Authentic product.

If Authentic means what the players actually wear, which it "used too".

That must be interesting to find that son of a *****. My street Hoyne lies between those two, maybe that dude lives next door. Maybe he's on the North Side though.

Even though I know your joking about the fake jerseys, they are more prevalent than real replicas and authentics, pretty soon McD and company will catch on to all the profit their losing out on. That would be one of the first fronts I supported them on.

If the Hawks make it to the Final, will they sell jerseys with the Stanley Cup patch on it?

I would have to guess they would, but even if they didn't, I'm sure you can get one at the convention. They were selling the Finland patches at the convention last summer.

So I bought a replica WC jersey back in December 2009 from IceJerseys.com (IJC), located in Montreal with an upstate NY warehouse for USA customers. I chose IJC because they agreed to put "MIKITA" on the back and #21, triple layered, on the back and shoulders (nhl.com and other etailers wouldn't do any player not on the current roster). The crest, all three layers of the numbers, the "C", the name plate and letters were all sewn on (apparently in Rockford, which is where it was mailed from) and the jersey was made in Canada.

A few days ago, I received my replica red Toews jersey with the Stanley Cup finals patch from IJC, and what a disappointment. The Indianhead crest has twill, but is ironed, NOT sewn, on and the Tomahawks are single layer screen printed tackle twill sewn directly to the jersey. Apparently, "single layer screen printed tackle twill" is French for "shiny vinyl" or "cheap plastic" because they look like shit. What's even more ridiculous is that by carefully and professionally sewing them on the shoulders it just emphasizes how cheap these single layer screen printed tackle twill Tomahawks are.

Anyone know where to buy Tomahawks that are made of embroidery and twill. I can't believe the NHL and etailers are getting away with selling this garbage. It looks ten times worse than a Hong Kong knockoff. I remember getting a red Mikita jersey as a kid with a real Indianhead crest SEWN on the jersey. Likewise with the Tomahawks.

Just last night I got a Fraser for 165 and da wifey got a old Buff (minus name, #52) for 115.

We did alright. But as RK said, non are truly "authentic".

I was amazed at the number of Chinese shit at the game.

While I agree as a player referring to preferring a CCM jersey, I prefer the more comfortable fabric of the RBK jerseys as a fan.
