Was good to see the first line play really well tonight. TT was involved throughout, Hossa had several high quality chances, and Toews finally got the monkey off his back. Really rooting for Toews to turn it around, as I think most are. Hasn't been his best season to this point but plenty of season left. In the salary cap era, it is important for players like Toews to show up in the regular season and help position the team for the playoffs. I realize that some brush off the regular season, but the Blackhawks getting home ice in the playoffs (while certainly not everything) is a big bonus and could be the difference in winning and losing a series this year. TT needs consistency, after a poor game last night I thought he came back strong tonight minus a couple rookie mistakes that he made up for.
Crawford continues to show that he is no longer a product of the defense and overall team defense. Good for him. Feel like he has certainly broken out of the shadows of the "Osgood" comparisons. Also, I know plenty of people weren't thrilled with his cap hit when he signed his new deal (count me in on that) but he is making it a very reasonable cap hit with his play. Consistency is big from your goalie and the Blackhawks know what they are going to get from Crawford every start.
