Assuming the Bears make a play for Jimmy G, and are successful, does it effect their efforts to franchise (stupid) or resign AJ? Thoughts? That would tie up a lot of cap money in two players.......

Jeffery might be more excited to stick around if he thought a good QB might be coming to town

The Bears will have 80 million in cap space.

They can easily afford both and to sign a bunch of free agents.


My guess is Jeffery would be more inclined to stay if we had Garopollo or some QB with a pulse. Otherwise why not sign in Tennesee, go back to the south and play with a young star QB.
