Sounds like Joakim Noah wants to reach out to Hakeem Olajuwon to work on his game.

Joakim Noah to Train With Olajuwon? | HOOPSWORLD | Basketball News & NBA Rumors

REVERSE: Now with the lockout, you’re going to blow. Do you think take the opportunity to do what? You’re going to ask you a little?

JN (Joakim Noah): No, I will go to Chicago because I have stuff to do there but after I will resume training … I want to see Hakeem (Olajuwon – ed), m to go ‘ train with him.

REVERSE: There are particular aspects of your game that you would like to work with him?

JN: Everything! I have the chance to train with the best, I have the best training rooms available, the best weight room, I really just to get there. Now it’s up to me to grow. Sometimes it’s boring, sometimes it’s hard, but it’s my job.

Loul Deng and Rose should train with Scottie Pippen.....And Boozer should take defense lessons from Pip...

I know you guys are gonna disagree with this, but that's not noahs game. I don't know if it would be benificial for the bulls to try and transform noah into a scoring post player. Id much rather he work on his jumpshot and ft sshooting. In an effort to make that pick and roll/pop with rose more viable.

Oh and he should strive to become a more dominant defender too.

Hakeem can teach him better form on his jump shot and how to get a fade off at will. He can teach Noah how to use his feet better instead of being completely out of control. Noah is a very raw offensive talent. But he DOES have talent. It's time to develop him the way he should be.

No one is going to claim Noah is going to become as coordinated and good as Olajuwon but he can definitely improve.

Why not develop Noah's post-up game? It makes Boozer that much more expendable.

I wouldn't assume that Olajuwon is somehow going to program Noah into being a different person/player.

Jo is going to develop his Center skills. Whatever weaknesses he works on, is good for us. While he has adapted to play the 5 spot rather well, he still sets himself up like a SF/PF at times. If he was more comfortable playing in position, he would be more effective for us.

Because it takes away from his strength, the bulls strength, which is rebounding. Especially offensive and weakside. But his footwork is too bad. Not too mention the mechanics on his jumpshot. Which he's had obviously since he's been playing. He's obviously never really worked in the post. I just don't see olajuwan being able to turn that around. Howard was raw, but you can tell he's played with his back to the basket. Not so much the case with noah

I'm not saying a post game wouldn't benifit him. Hell I'm hoping rose developes a post game. But noah? If olajuwan is to teach him anything, id rather it be how to be a dominant defender. I don't want him to lose sight of what got him here.

Look at what happened to vince carter when he deveoped that 3. He all but scrapped his ability to attack the basket. And it hurt his overall game.

It's not as though Noah is going to forget how to look for rebounds offensively. This is a guy who has some uptapped offensive talent so why not take advantage of that? As long as Boozer is in the line-up with him, he is not going to be looking for the ball in the post anyway. The point of teaching Noah some post moves is strictly to give the Bulls option when needed.

Let Tom Thibodeau worry about the rest. That's the coaches job- telling player when it is the appropriate times to do something and the appropriate time to do something else.

As long as Noah is on the floor, the Bulls will be beasts on the boards. OFFENSE is what needs improvement. And if Noah develops a post up game then we can trade Boozer for peanuts.

I absolutely disagree because the Bulls could use a 7 foot center with a post game and you know what? So could 30 other teams. There are an abundance of jumpshooting big men...there are far fewer post scorers in today's nba.

Noah needs to improve his post up game so he can be moved to the power forward position when we can Boozer and sign Dwight Howard...

I have been wanting the Bulls to get a 7 foot post scorer for years. I hope Noah can at least get one go to move in the post during this lockout.

I think this is an Excellent move for Noah.

D. Howard was basically a similar player that Noah is untill he worked with Patrick Ewing.

If Noah can get some type of an offensive Post game going he'd be DANGEROUS!
