Based on how JR Smith's 6th man award announcement was on April 22nd last year.. I imagine this is for Taj Gibson being awarded this year's 6th man of the Year.

Looks like Noah will be announced Defensive Player of the Year.

Yeah I noticed, which really made the Bulls lackluster, especially with Thibs being stubborn in who he put out there in the 4th.

I watched the end of the 2nd and the 4th quarter (was at girlfriends house for Easter most of the game). So I can say I didn't see everything that happened, but the 4th the team itself was rather lackluster, including Noah.

Nene took it to Noah a few times....he couldn't be stopped nobody could guard him....the front court was terrible last night out rebounded and out played

Yeah, I'm not going to defend Noah entirely for last night. But he was on Gortat more often than not as per assignment. I don't agree with that matchup, but then again, considering what the Bulls had to go on scouting with Nene being limited in his return from injury, it's also hard to say that he's going to have a big game like that and Gortat is the logical matchup.

First, where did I suggest it was a one-on-one game. Player assignments =/= one-on-one. Hell, Noah was set on picks for a good chunk of the game for their wings to fight through. Second, they had good plays against each other. Nene is a good player, you simply don't shut him down, just like he didn't shut Noah down from his production.

Noah started out on Nene. Noah was the one that gave up most of the points in the first quarter. Anyone who says different needs their eyes checked.

In fact here is a 5 minute video showing Noah guarding Nene from the beginning of the game. I think there was 1 play where Gibson was defending Nene.

Everyone has bad games, and Noah had one last night. It happens. The other guy get paid to play basketball too.

Noah deserves DPOY. It is nice that his hard work was recognized.
