John Scott to get more ice time?

This isn't really a fair judgement of Scott because of the play and consistency of the entire 4th line and some of the 3rd. This ought to change for this upcoming season and we won't see the top 6 so burnt out.

Exactly last season the fourth line was not used because it was really bad. If Bowman goes out and addresses the depth at that position, which can be done now with the cap space, I think you will see Coach Q roll 4 lines with regularity like he did his first couple of seasons in Chicago. I think Scott can be a part of that fourth line depending on who else is out there. I do think Scott will get his fair share of not dressing, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the lineup more than he was last year.

that was a big problem last year...also hope we get a good enough 6th dman so that Keith and Seabs get 45 mins of ice time again...lol

I would love a second line center and a solid stay at home defenseman, if we can resign both Campoli and Frolik. I think it was Captain Iago that made the point about having that type of player to free Leddy up to be more of the puck moving, offensive threat that we hope he can develop into.

Oh the depth of this team was gone after having to trade out of cap hell, and Coach Q rode the few core guys into the ground because he didn't have anyone else to lean on. Again that is why the Campbell deal has the potential to be a homerun for the Hawks. As nice of a player as Campbell was being able to divide that 7.1 million onto the right two or three guys will make this team dramatically better because with the right talent Coach Q has shown that he will roll 4 lines even deep into the playoffs.

Hope getting a guy like Rupp or Talbot will do that.

I'm not sure what the point is. The guy is a complete role player and unfortunately, the role of enforcer has been reduced by the rules in the past years. He is there to fight people in the regular season and as an intimidation factor as a fourth liner in the playoffs.

Know your role! as the rock says. He should just stick to his role.
