...if the contention is that teams have to skate 4 complete forward lines to win, and by win I mean win individual games, you can also extend it to the season as a whole or playoff series.

Specific player personnel aside, having 4 full lines is not that big of a deal, especially at the NHL level (now if you are talking like not have 3 lines, that then becomes more of a problem).

Agree with hawkwriter...once smith, stalberg r back, scott wont see much icetime...if he does, i hope its on offense

6 mins of wasted ice time that could've gone to Rusty Olesz who can actually play.

I don't give two shits if he is 'well liked'. The guy is a wasted roster spot & blows major ass.

Oddly enough, despite what have ever written about Scott over the past couple of years, I have to agree with the above as a general philosophy (dunno about Olesz one way or the other - but insert anyone's name there -same point).
