Does he need to work on catching? Sure, he's made a few memorable drops over the past season. But honestly, our offense was in it's most dynamic when he and Cohen were on the field together. If he doesn't improve his catching, that just means more targets for the Human Joystick.

Fun fact:

Jordan Howard had 94 carries(roughly 1/3) out of shotgun as a rookie, and averaged 7(!) yards a carry. For some, inexplicable reason, that dropped to 34(less then 1/8) this year, despite still averaging 5 yards per carry from the gun.

Kareem Hunt had almost a 50/50 split of shotgun vs. under center runs. I think Howard will thrive in this kind of offense. Obviously he needs to work on his pass catching but I think he has the raw ability to at least be passable in that regard.

I think the offense can make Cohen really shine. Howard needs to spend a lot of time this offseason working on his pass catching. He can't lead the team in drops again.
