Dougie plays so damn frantic. I think what I am looking at is a superior basketball player trying so hard he is probably fucking up his shot and stamina. Hard to shoot when you are running around like a chicken. He has to compensate for athleticism too much. If you give the guy a window he can score in a myriad of ways.

I haven't gotten to watch any of these summer leagues but I read an article on either yahoo/BR/or blog a bull saying how Bairstow has been really impressive. Then I saw he's averaging like 8 points on 44% shooting against guys that are mainly d leaguers/overseas players. For a guy that sucks people sure do love him.

I'm getting pretty anxious that one of the greatest shooters of all time can't hit shots in summer league. Sometimes its just not on. The lay-off, he might have grown. New shoes with heals if thats what he is wearing to be Portis tall.

It's quite strange that he's shooting so poorly from 3 after lighting it up last year. But perhaps the confidence from scoring other ways in SL will translate to 3s in game?

Doug missed the all important shot to qualify for the playoffs or go home early. We lost to the nets by 1 point and Boatright danced all over our faces.
McDermot, Bairstow, and Portis all played well enough to keep their roster spot, nobody else earned one but Feliciano was added for size depth in case the organization moves Noah/Gibson because he practiced hard and is 6'10" 275 lbs.
