I'll say again

Trent Dilfer was a fucking TERRIBLE quarterback. he has a ring.

Brad Johnson, he wasn't that spectacular either. he has a ring. and he has a long fucking neck. what is it with the Bucs and their QBs having giraffe necks?

it's a team sport. team sport. Jay Cutler didn't piss away 2013 and 2014 by himself. you keep neglecting the catastrophic epic meltdown blown the **** out asshole collapse of the defense that gives up 50+ points a game. which offense in the league puts up 50 points consistently? Brady to Moss maybe, for like a 2 game stretch, 8 years ago. how do you expect any team to win under those conditions? Mel Tucker should've been hung by his testicles or publicly crucified. the same fucking players are playing on defense now and it's like an entirely different team.

or how about let's mix tight ends with safeties in the locker room and sing kumbaya. you're neglecting the fact that the ENTIRE TEAM fucking regressed and now we're seeing the aftermath of that and SHITTY DRAFTING for probably the last 7 years.

every single fucking factor I've just listed doesn't make a Super Bowl team, I don't care if they have prime Peyton Manning under center.

please go **** yourself already.

Why do you think you should have judgement over what someone should care about?

1) I can have a opinion 2) it seems ppl. get to concerned about jay's stats vs. us winning. Isn't winning the bottom line???

I think you missed the memo at the beginning of the season where the team's going to finish 2-14 this year.

so the Bears can pick #1 overall on some jackoff hack quarterback that runs real fast from a big school that ESPN plays with their puds over 24/7 that turns out to be the next Matt Leinart.

Jay Cutler, prime Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson, nobody's supposed to save this team. they can only beat shitty young AFC teams loaded with talent that are shitty only because their records are shitty.

You basing ur opinion on Passer Rating is comical..its flawed...just like the shit stat QBR

According to ur tell all stat...I guess Tony Romo is better than Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Tom Brady, Brees and Montana

Hell Im sure 99% of this board would take Chad Pennington over Dan Marino

Cutler better than Aikman too

Is the QB rating perfect no. But it is a decent measure of a QB individual performance (mostly removing the team affect). But if you think it so flawed, I hope to never see you use QB rating to measure any QB in any form in the future.

Then yes, I guess Romo has had better career stats than those mentioned when considering passes vs INTs vs completions vs yards. The numbers are the numbers.

And yes, the QB rating does not take into account clutch performances and dependability, which is huge plus for players like Young, Brady, Manning (outside of playoffs anyway) and yes, even Flacco. It also does not take into account team defense, offensive line, WRs, coaching ect. which are contributing factors in why you look at those stats and question them, it's more purely an individual measuring stick, as much as possible.

Flacco on average has played better in the post season than Cutler and the law of averages has been Flaccos friend in the playoffs. Because as you know, if you took Culters first 2 (and only) playoff games vs Flacco's first 2 playoff games, it wouldn't be favorable for Flacco.

It's just comical that you are going to great lengths and hair splitting to prove that Flacco and Culter are not in the same conversation. During the season, they ain't that far apart. When you get into the playoffs, sure, Flacco has the advantage. Truth be told, I would probably take Flacco over Cutler, but I sure as hell wouldn't look at it as some big step forward in the position. Your hate for Cutler is just so strong that you think anyone without the name of Cutler is a huge improvement for the team.

it doesn't matter who I want them to get, cause I don't run the front office. I also don't follow college football, or really any other team outside the Bears now.

Cutler's had 2 good games since rapidly returning from injury, I think the defenses of the Raiders and Chiefs aren't getting a whole lot of credit, especially when you consider they were scheming against an anemic receiving corp. of the Bears (meaning, they have less proven options, so they can hammer Bennett and Forte). I would like to see more games from Cutler in Gase's system. I think today would be a good indicator; the Lions are shit this year, but it's still a divisional game.

I don't agree with the criticisms of Cutler having no heart or that he's some dickless pussy. I think he's had poor coaching for a number of years and they've had a revolving door at OC. I think he's been placed in an impossible situation that he can't win, but I'm hoping the new coaching staff has emphasis on working out his deficiencies. he was a QB trending upward when Shanahan got fired. Ron Turner sucked, Martz was good for him but that was deemed a poor fit, Tice had no business holding that title, Kromer was a douchebag and Trestman poorly coached the team as a whole. I like Fox and Gase though, at age 32 my ideal scenario is they just get some consistency out of him. I'm hoping when more receivers come back from injury they can get a little more adventurous with the playbook.

I like Jay Cutler, but I don't see him as a longterm solution for the team. I thought his contract extension was ludicrous. he's good, but he's not that good, or technically, he's not proven win/loss level good.

I calculated that Wilson wouldn't be shit without Lynch. surprisingly his yardage totals have been way up from his average 130 yards a game. they're still not winning though, and this is with their powerhouse defense all intact. if Jay Cutler is responsible for all the Bears ills with a weak roster, then what does that say for Russell Wilson?

Most

Per Adam Schefter 2014

QB sacks or hits the past 4 season:

Cam Newton 531
Ryan Fitzpatrick 272
Alex Smith 257
Joe Flacco 254

2013 Flacco 2nd in most sacked in league 48

But only if he had Cutlers protection

That's the year Flacco had 20 TD and 30 TO's.....way to overcome the bad O-line. In part because Flacco is a statue in the pocket. Care to tell me more about how Flacco carries the team around him?

Like him. I think he's the kind of QB who does make your team better just for having him. Simply has nothing around him anymore and their defense has gone to shit.

So then it's okay to have 20 TD and 30 TO's when the O-line around you allows you to be sacked 48 times? Oh wait, you just said he makes the team better just for having him.

As has been explained to us many times by the people you're directing this comment at. Rodgers would have made the 2013-2014 Bears Super Bowl contenders & the team quit because Cutler is a quitter.

It had nothing to do with Dr. Death and Tucker being in charge.

Guess who has never had a season with more INTs than TDs? Though he has been close at least a couple of times lol.

And to be fair, Flacco actually didn't have 30 turnovers. Only 2 of the fumbles were lost. Not that it helps his case much that year. Lol

the whole team quit. regardless of position. 2013 I could see. I'm just saying the Bears team when he was drafted was not built for offense. they were completely clueless on that side of the ball. they would've ruined him.

Whilte true the usual crowd considers the act of the fumble to be the problem and not who recovers the fumble.

Telling someone they should/shouldn't do X is more than merely having an opinion.
And
Bottom line according to who, to the team's sure, but a person can be a man via anyway they are a fan. Some people do cling to players more than the team itself. It happens.

Fair enough about the whole team quitting. I think some people focused their anger on the wrong person(s). The GM/Coaching were horrific & everything under them was tainted while they were in charge.

Here's to hoping that the new GM/Coaching are the huge upgrade they have appeared to be thus far.

Also here's to hoping that Cutler doesn't have his first down game of the year against the Lions. With the WR back in the game it will be a week of horror on these forums if that does indeed happen. Which is all good to call out someone's bad play but on these forums 1 bad throw is all it takes to set off the fallout. Let alone a 2 INT day. Something every QB from elite to bottom of the barrel will have here and there. Rodgers has already had a 2 INT game and he is Aaron frigging Rodgers.
