This is to show how the good the Bulls are really doing this season. Yes they've lost some games they should've won, but they've won a lot of games that we thought they wouldn't.

So to compare the top 6 teams (Record wise) in the East, one glaring fact stands out among the rest. I'll let you see for yourself.

1. Boston (23-4 Overall, 19-2 Conference, 4-2 Non-Conference)

2. Miami (22-9 Overall, 15-4 Conference, 7-5 Non-Conference)

3. Chicago (18-9 Overall, 7-4 Conference, 11-5 Non-Conference)

4. Atlanta (19-12 Overall, 15-8 Conference, 4-4 Non-Conference)

5. Orlando (17-12 Overall, 12-6 Conference, 5-6 Non-Conference)

6. New York (17-12 Overall, 10-7 Conference, 7-5 Non-Conference)

This shows that the Bulls are not only winning in the conference (and Division 3-0), but they are killing the West and have the best record of ANY Eastern Conference team against the West. It also shows that Boston's inflated record is fools gold as they've been beating up on the terrible teams in their division and have played very few non-conference teams and have been able to pad their record.

So there it is in black and white. The Bulls are very, very good. They've played the hardest schedule of any Eastern Conference team and have dealt with two major injuries and Kieth Bogans, and they still go out and kick ass!

If we can get our conference record to where Boston or Miami or Orlando's are, we'll be thinking #3 seed come playoff time.

How about #2 seed? I should've said we're 2 GB of second in the East right now.

IMO I don't think those records say anything. The bulls have played 16 games against the west, the Celtics have played 6. If you break it down is 11-5 really that much better than 4-2?

barely.
But I think what's more telling is discussing the actual games.
Their wins are against Portland, Denver, OKC, and Memphis.
Their losses are against OKC, and Dallas.

The Bulls, on the other hand:
wins: Portland, Denver, Golden State, Houston(x2), Dallas, Phx, Sacramento, OKC, Lakers, Minnesota
losses:OKC, San Antonio, Lakers, Denver, Clippers

As bad as the loss to the Clippers was, our wins are far more impressive...beating Dallas, OKC, and the Lakers...

See now that's what I'm talking about. That's quality info on how we stack up. I think looking at the records straight up is a mistake, especially when one team plays the west twice as much so far.

No pessimism here, you just give a bad argument.

Today we play the Knicks. Perfect opportunity to not only improve our conference record against a current playoff team but also one step closer to moving up in the standings.
