I saw the Cougars play in Peoria last night...

I really liked what I saw from the three guys that I went to see.

Almora was very impressive. Worked counts, got a hit and two walks, and overall looked like a major league ballplayer in the making.

Vogelbach had a good eye at the plate, hits the ball hard, but really is lacking with the speed and defense.

Pierce Johnson was easily the player of the game and was very impressive. He went 6 2/3 with 6 hits and 1 run. Changed speeds, located well, and really kept guys off balance all night. I was very impressed.

Favorite player- Rock Shoulders. Dude is a bad ass and got kicked out with a 7 run lead after a bs called 3rd strike that looked inside from my point of view.

As a side note I was lucky enough to par take in my first field sobriety test after leaving the casino. He pulled me over for no reason, had me follow a flashlight for what seemed like a half hour, and then asked me to blow after I passed his test. I blew a 0.00. I tried to tell him I only had two beers a couple hours earlier. Despite the bs Peoria is always a good place to see a game.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
I went to a Quad City Bandit game last year...always a treat to see baseball at a reasonable price and not have to deal with the crap of Chicago.

They caught Cubs2008 on video leaving Peoria and driving recklessly and that's why they pulled him over. Little did the cops know, Cubs2008 and his friend had a plan of attack......pardon the pun.

?

Let me think here....

Pierce was a sup pick because they did not resign A-Ram.

So what has he got to do with Prince?

Anyways I'd rather have had them re-up A-Ram.

When 3 mil fans watch Kane CO per year it will matter more then what "should" be important.

the 3 mil watching what is happening on the North Side of town.

How do you figure he's regressing? His numbers seem to be getting better.

I'm guessing he is referring to his recent slump from his huge start. Last ten games his slash line has been .194/.356/.528. Still hitting for a ton of power, and I could definitely live with that slash line. But the average has dropped a ton in the past few weeks.

Ya his avg has dropped into the.280's from a solid .300 clip. Not sure what caused his start up go go on fire but the rest of his career has been the current slash line.

Great point.

Who needs a productive major league player when you can have a guy in A ball.

Perfectly illustrates the complete ignorance of some that they would prefer to have an A ball player over one of the best major league players.

I don't see how wanting to Cubs to spend at the major league level while developing the farm is a bad thing.

Because it is a far too complicated concept for idiots to grasp.
