Hopefully Kane can pull off a good solid season. I do think he has potential to be come even better. Despite what the trash media likes to portray him as, he still has a good hockey head. I also agree this longer off-season will do wonders for this team, they have had pretty intense stretch the past two years.

I can admit that I have been somewhat hard on Kane over the past couple years but I will say this... which has prior been my complaint....

His play on the backcheck has improved IMMENSELY. His defensive presence has improved as well and i am seldom nervous when he is the 3rd man back in the O zone. That shows a great maturity in his game and there is no reason to think that would not continue to improve. He is slowly becoming a 2-way forward mentality and while he may never be that pure 2 way, he is certainly no longer a liability in the neutral and backchecking situations.

Mr. Kane, you go bang who you want...

He will get there, at the end of this past season he really made great strides. I would also say that during the Cup run Kane was playing at an Elite level.

I think 90 points is attainable for Kane the upcoming season, and that is what he should reach for. 100 points would be a surprise, but I think he does have the potential to hit that as well at some point in his career.
