I thought they only dressed 15 players and 2 goalies. Missing three guys, including the one suspended. They were rolling with a 20 man Roster to begin with.

That's why the NHL should have just dropped the contract controversy until the next CBA renewal. The Devils fucked themselves. Any injuries or anything not LTIR fucks them each and every time. They lost that game against the Pens didn't they?

btw, this Kaner illness couldn't have come at a worse time for me. I just layed into my peewee team this week about missing practices and told them that unless they are on their deathbed being sick is not an excuse for missing practice.



Maybe someone oughta show Kaner some tape of Michael Jordan vs Utah so he can get his ass out of bed and onto the ice tomorrow!

Big picture here. You don't want sick people infecting the whole team, which is why Kane didn't travel with the team, I would imagine..

Exactly. If it were the Finals as it were in Utah PK would be playing. Since it's game 5 of 82, he's not. We also have no clue if he flew out there today. He was not playing tomorrow being there or not. Part of why he only got 16 minutes the other night.

This is the biggest problem in youths sports today. And I coached for over 12 yrs after my playing days, and worked in the USA developmental program as an instructor for 4. Its good to see the message getting through to coaches about what's important.
