I mean what else is he supposed to say ??? He spent 11 years there and went to school in California. When he retires I’m sure he’s heading right back .
yeah, seems like a non-issue. Everyone has a right to their own ideals and opinions and he had a Hall of Fame career in CA. he'll probably have his own restaurant there after he retires and good for him. he earned it.

EDIT: oh wait! was I supposed to get all riled up? HOW DARE someone like some OTHER place better than THIS place! the NERVE! TAR AND FEATHER THEM!!!

No but we’ve seen wrs leave because they want to move to the west coast. I think it’s interesting he spent that much time taking about California. Makes me wonder if his agent will put out feelers for the rams and 49ers for the 2025 season.

Let em. He is a one year rental here, and anything else is just bonus.

San Diego is prob the nicest weather in the entire USA

I'm with KA, **** chicago, its nice like 4 months out of the year, maybe like 3.

It's hilarious how ppl in the midwest are always like "but the seasons!" Like they gon sell you on the weather

So he said he likes the city where he spent a decade with the best weather in one of the best states in the US.. over one of the coldest and windiest cities in the US...

Big deal.. Many players have their off season homes elsewhere and love those places.

If he is speaking like this in May.. wait until December and January

This is some low brow clickbait garbage. Not even close to what he actually said. Be better.

I think it depends on how his relationship with Caleb turns out. If the Bears are winning games, having fun, and he is a big part of that, and develops a strong rapport and friendship with Caleb, he may be open to sticking around.

And the money being right, of course.

I bolded and underlined the part that I think will really matter to Allen staying beyond this year.

And really for the Bears, if Odunze learns from both Allen and Moore and becomes a beast, how much are they really going to want to spend on Allen at that point? I think Allen makes a ton of sense to help kickstart this offense and I think he can be a real asset in the initial development of both Williams and Odunze.

But looking ahead to 2025, I think it is more important to extend DJ Moore. They are probably going to need to put more investment in the interior of the OL. Guys like Gordon are going to be eligible for extensions on defense going into 2025.

So, it will be interesting to see where they decide to spend their cap space next year and I could see them wanting to invest in some younger guys than to bring back Allen at the point - again, assuming that Odunze becomes what we all hope he becomes.

Yeah, I’m a little bit confused about this thread. If he was only here for like four months and he was saying Chicago is my home and will always be my home when it’s that kind of the worst situation? Like what kind of bandwagon motherfucker sellout punk ***** is this guy? Or maybe we should demonize him for being honest.
I myself don’t really give a **** what it is outlook on life is. If he can catch the fucking ball and score touchdowns, I like him on my team.

I lived in Chicago for over 60 years, retired and moved to Las Vegas. I love Chicago, because of friends and family I go back all the time. I miss a lot of things about Chicago, but not the weather.
