You don't know that for sure.
But that is not the point. The point is they thought Frank Clark was a better prospect than Lockett. They still do.

Or they have intelligence or a feel of when others are going to be drafted. When we drafted Kyle Long, nobody had him publicly going there in the draft. Yet, it later came out that somebody else (maybe it was Dallas?) was planning on taking him next. Same with Lockett, in that case it is almost obvious that they knew who intended to draft him, otw they would not have given up all those picks to move up a few slots. Just like you said to me "you don't know that for sure", we can all say that to each other. I did have information a week before the draft that Seattle wanted Lockett very badly, and did post that on this message board, but that is, all the information that I had on that.

Yeah but I think you are trying to say that Seattle felt he was the best WR in the draft but somehow knew he would magically last to the 3rd because no one else knew that but them.
It is what it is. They had a late 2nd/early 3rd grade on him and wanted him badly enough with their 3rd pick to move ahead. Keep it simple.

I feel sorry for Reuben Droughns he would have been great just 15 years too late. LaMichael James would look good in Navy and Orange.

I can't say that Seattle felt that he was the best receiver in the draft, maybe, maybe not. I do know that they wanted him as a receiver and a return man, and felt that he can most likely pay immediate dividends as a return man. They loved his pedigree (both father and uncle played in the NFL). They loved his terrific attitude.

I wanted him in the 3rd for his versatility. But when we drafted White, it was out the window.

DaaBears let's wait til the regular season before we crown Lockett mayne. I know he's your boy but it was just 1 game. I'm excited to watch him though. Just wish he went to another team, Seahawks annoy me.

I know Johnny. I didn't start this one. Someone jumped in earlier and brought him up and called Lockett a flash in the pan and I just had to dismiss this. Sorry if I seem to be getting obnoxious with this.

But you missed the point. His kick return was just one play in one preseason game, hence flash in the pan. I wasn't saying it about his whole college career or him as a player. I was making a comparison to Barner as the two flashed in their first preseason games, which inflates their value and makes them near impossible to trade for.

I have signed Barner in Madden 15. According to my simulation, if we run HB Dive out of shotgun offset at least 20 times a game, he'll get 1800 yards in a season.

I think the problem here is that you are using the phrase "flash in the pan" incorrectly. This is the meaning, and the way that I took it:
Definition of FLASH IN THE PAN
1
: a sudden spasmodic effort that accomplishes nothing
2
: one that appears promising but turns out to be disappointing or worthless

There is a 50/50 chance that Barner gets released due to the Eagles already having Murray, Mathews, and Sproles in the fold. I wouldn't mind picking him up though if we didn't have a third RB or a punt returner.
