Which wasn't a bad signing. He is doing everything he has done in his career.

Why is it that fans think players are gonna sprout wings or something and become Barry Bonds when history says different?

Creme
No one thought that. Just be Adam Dunn. He has failed in doing so.

The only good thing about being a seller at the deadline is that we have pieces to move and build.

Peavy,Rios,Floyd (if healthy) Dunn, Konerko, Ramirez, De Aza, Crain, Thornton can all bring back good to avg specs as teams will overpay at the deadline.

Define good to avg specs? Like organization's 3-6 rater prospect?

rios and peavy would bring in the better of a teams specs. especially peavy as we know with pitching. essentially an NL team would probably drop their drawers for him.

I agree with Rios and most likely Peavy. Dunn nothing, Konerko, nothing De Aza nothing. Crain and thorton maybe a mid level.
We got pieces to trade, I just don't think they are worth a heck of a lot to other teams.

Good luck getting any team to give up anything for a guy who can barely hit near or above the mendoza line.

Dews, you are a hypocrite. Bashing BA in one thread and using it positively in another.

You and HT can be a comedy duo

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Army Black Knights
The only three players (obviously not counting Sale since he's untouchable) who could fetch any valuable spects are Rios, Peavy, and Reed. The rest are average to mediocre at this point, PK is old, and Dunn needs to have more stretches like this past week before any team will bite on his contract (maybe getting someone better if the team doesn't act like miserly hebes and picks up half his salary).

Logic not allowed with the Dunn fan club.

Get the fuck out of here with that shit, Joe.

You're the one who constantly berated Dunn for "striking out too much!!!!1" and not "having a high batting average!!!1" despite that he fucking lead the league in walks and hit 41 home runs last season.

And now you're going to give up on Dunn because of a small sample size? Sure, it was hard to defend him for a while, but since he's gone back to his old ways he's turning it around he has an OPS of 1.014, but because Dunn is only batting 226 in that span, he sucks!!!!!!!!1

And at least with that sample size, there is a precedence to back it up.

Of Dunn's 13 hits this season, 6 of em are HR's. Also, only has 9 BB's in 88 AB's.

He's about as one dimensional as it gets. Enough with the excuses for this guy.

Rios has cooled off a bit but at least he still puts the ball in play, where it's HR or nothing for Dunn.

Yep. Because that's the only way to judge Adam Dunn, is by his batting average.

exactly. a fucking out is an out. now if you have a lineup of all dunns than you are 2 one dimensional. but this is what he is...a 40 hr obp guy. but the baseball dopes only think BA.
