i tired to tell you and czman months ago

i argued for 2 pages before i realized it was fruitless to even argue about Hinrich...yall pegged me as just a Hinrich hater and brushed off the facts i was dropping because 82games.com said we're better defensively with him
Well we may still be better defensively with him...

All I've been saying this season is that historically Hinrich has never shot well to start the season and shot very well to close the season (let's be real, his shooting is the only reason people hate him so much) and that we should wait a bit before declaring Hinrich is the worst player in the NBA. So far, it seems like that hot shooting second half may not come to fruition. Age and injuries can do that. He has not been terrible for years and years though, unless you only look at his play through January. You can check the stats on that.

It goes way beyond bad shooting(and he IS a bad shooter for his position) with me. What drove me crazy was his failure to do what point guards are supposed to do which is set other players up. Hinrich in his entire career wastes way too much time dribbling along the perimeter and then with maybe 8 seconds left in the shot clock forcing a pass to another teammate who has little time to do anything with the ball.

Offensively, Hinrich has always been weak. His biggest asset was his defense against bigger, stronger guards where his relative quickness and good tenacity frustrated them.

They should have kept D.J. Augustin... but at least we've got Aaron Brooks. I think Kirk Hinrich's better days are behind him.

I don't remember him playing this badly and making the same mistakes months ago.

Hitting that 3 as the clock expired was his single great highlight this year.

I'm guessing this is a joke.

I am not going to try to argue that he isn't horrible this year but I can't hate on him because I have long been a fan of Captain Kirk

I've been a Kirk fan mainly due to his contributions in the mid-2000s and welcomed him back. I don't know if he may have regressed as much as he has if he never made those stops in washington or atlanta but that's unimportant speculation.

But now...it's time to put him to pasture, he should not be on the floor unless he's buffing it

I think minus the one season he had shoulder surgery in Atlanta he actually played better than he did here in his past 6 seasons lol

Kirk's PER down to 6.8, even considering he wasn't that horrible last night (well until the 4th Q).

Well wasn't he like 0-11 in the past two games? That'll tank your PER

It was 6.9 before last night's game.. whatever he did last night made it fall further.

GG Hinrich's career...even when you shoot well your PER drops.

My bad. I was wondering how his PER still went down even after hitting some shots last night. Guess it didn't.
