Kliff worries me because he did so bad at Arizona and Texas Tech. I know he's doing great now and that a coach can grow and get better, but I'm still hesitant on him. And big no to Lincoln Riley, too.
Raheem Morris shined early, then fizzled out in his 1st h.c. gig. Then moved around, coached on both sides of the ball, and is an H.C. again. The Falcons are winning. Same thing could happen for Kingsbury.

Since the McCaskets aint gonna pay Ben Johnson, got get Kliff..

Getting Kliff will give the McNuggets a new offense without having to fire this OC... cause we know they aint gonna want pay for a new OC too..
He's my top guy as of now with Ben Johnson but i agree that they won't pay B.Johnson who's rumored to be wanting to get paid big for his first ever head coaching gig. This is Ben Johnson's first time OC job as well which he got in 2022. They already had J.Goff, who no matter what you think of him he is a good QB who did take a team to a super bowl, and he already had Aman Ra and great OL. They've added two different style RB's that are great at what they do and a great TE.

Just saying it would really suck to pay big money to this guy who's only in his 3rd year as a first time OC and has a great OL, really good veteran QB and plenty of weapons, for him to fail at being a HC, especially in a place like Chicago where anything to do with offense seems to be tough for any coach to overcome.

Fire Flus and hire Pete Carroll to come in as interim HC for the rest of the season. He can keep his boy Waldron for the season and then get rid of both.

If they won't pay for Ben Johnson, why would they be willing to pay for Kiff?

Get ready for some cheap no name, or a washed up bum that's past his time.

On Sunday, when I was watching the Cards run over the Floser defense, I decided to check highest paid OC's in the NFL.

Bears gout pretty ripped off when Waldron is top 5 in the league at $2 mill per season.

Coordinator job is different than HC. Johnson could bust as well but he seems very organized. Regardless, I want a top OC as the next HC. Same reason I gave when we hired FlusH. If they're any good, you can't retain them as they become HCs. If you want a consistent top offense you need your HC to run it. Kingsbury will be a HC again in a year or 2.

Kingsbury would probably be my No 1 choice as he has HC experience and knowd how to develop a young QB.

For all the Ben Johnson talk he is working with a vet QB not a young guy so unknown how he is from a QB development standpoint.
I love Kliff. But he's not head coach material. Great OC. But he doesn't know how to be a ceo leader that can bring discipline.

So he just needs to bring in more of a disciplinarian to support him or keep a guy like Wash around if he is well respected by the players.

Yes, Kliff is going to coach the team who decided to not give him the OC job and hired waldron even when he had ties to their #1 pick.

These threads are as dumb as @DanielCCSBears

He fucking sucks dude. I literally would rather keep Flus
Dont doubt it....unless u can find a coach that can keep things similar and through the process keep adding more. Unfortunately today's coaches come in with "it's my system" instead of, what can I do, to get the most out of said player.

Why would he choose Flus over newly hired Quinn? More job security with the Commanders.

It was reported talks with Raiders fell through because they wouldnt give him a 3rd year which he got with Commanders so yeah doubt he comes here when he could be fired after one year.

Bears hired Waldron before Kingsbury was hired but doubt Bears were offering him 3 years.

In any event dont think it really matters if the Bears job opens up.

No serious coach will consider the Bears until the McCaskeys are out of the picture. Let’s stop pretending it will be any different when considering the next staff.

Normally I'd agree with this but I think Caleb alters the equation. Most professional football people still think he is going to be great and so I could see a top OC wanting to come to Chicago next year.
