There is no way Campbell signs for less than 4 million per season. Pipe dream.

He's in the last year of his contract and is making 2.5mil this year. In all likelihood he'll collect that and then retire after the season.

Not if someone "Goloolies" him. I'm looking at you Bigfoot, we know you have stealth capabilities.

I'm not saying he would sign for 2.75, I'm just illustrating what the Hawks are capable of offering.

Believe he just signed an extension in LA, and I want to say it was 4 years.

Edit: No he didn't, I'm an idiot.

On a related note, Shaw could probably get $4 mildo on the free agent market but he's high if the thinks the Hawks can afford to pay him that and be any good.

Since it seems the Kings will be fully fine to actually still play Scuderi a lot he'll still play. Maybe if he felt he'd be send to the ahl he would retire but that's not happening.

He has no extension but he played high minutes besides Doughty in the playoffs. He will want to keep playing in that spot for sure

There isn't many prospects outside the top 5 I know anything about but there's a speedy center in the 14 range I'd like or that Russian Center named German supposedly going around 20, if packaging shaw, McNeil, or another pick can get one I'd be for that

Official Shaw to Montreal for two 2nd this year... higher than their current one and with 3 2nds a package into the late 1st round is still optional

Kruger allegedly, although Shaw getting traded may change that.
Kruger is much more valuable to the Hawks than Shaw was. They don't use him like a typical 4C. Doubt he goes anywhere now.

It's been a bit of a pipe detail but I've said before this offseason if they can sign Ladd to a deal expecting him to be open for expansion draft or just a 1 year deal it's a smart move then move on next year with Panarin's extension. Idk what Ladd seeks though, if it's only a mil more than Shaw asked it'd work.

Wouldn't dumping Hossa in expansion draft make more sense?

You think a new franchise would want to take a 38-year-old winger? The Hawks can leave him open but I'd be shocked if Vegas would take him.

Doubtful but sometimes these expansion teams look for one "name" player to give them some credibility.

I said this weeks ago in another thread, I think they are finagling around to sign Ladd.

Hossa also would have to waive his no move clause to be expansion eligible and it's a bad move because if Hossa retires it's still the Hawks who pay up with cap recapture penalty

Thats ok...Q has plans to make Hossa the 6th defender for 2-3 years, which he never uses anyway. Just ride the pine and drink Beers with Q.

Toews be warned.

If he has another season like this last one, goddamn...

I just mean to say 10,000,000 is alot of fat, you better burn the candle at both ends or get cut. Enough fat to say....sign a 50 point Panarin.
