The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Marcus Kruger from Djurgardens of the Swedish Elitserien (Elite League). He will wear jersey number 16 for the Blackhawks.
Kruger, 20, paced Djurgardens IF with 35 points (6G, 29A) in 50 regular-season contests and shared the club lead with a +12 plus/minus rating. He was the youngest forward to finish among the Top-20 scorers in the Elitserien during the 2010-11 campaign.
Chicago’s fifth selection (149th overall) in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Kruger also ranked second on Djurgardens with 31 points (11G, 20A) in 38 regular-season games in 2009-10 before adding 10 points (3G, 7A) in 16 playoff tilts, finishing as a finalist for the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
The Stockholm, Sweden, native earned a Bronze Medal skating for his native country in the 2010 World Junior Championships in Saskatchewan. He ranked third on Sweden with six assists in six contests, and seventh in the entire tournament with a +7 plus/minus rating.
Blackhawks will host the Florida Panthers at the United Center tonight at 7:30 P.M. The game will be broadcast locally on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and can be heard on 720 WGN.

He's centering the Bickell/Brouwer line at practice.
Ughhh. Me no likey. I was hoping for something snazzier like a 67-Kruger-81 line.
He's replacing both Hossa and Frolik so that would be impossible!

Damnations! Thanks for reminding me---the first thing to go in middle-age is the memory.
Actually John Scott is replacing BOTH Frolik & Hossa and that's why it's not possible.
32-16-32 line!
Interesting. I must not have hit that milestone in life as of yet.

Wow. So how are you feeling this morning since your nose grew out a foot? Tenderness? What do the docs say? I'm sure it's going to take some getting used to.
Doc says I should use my nose as a penis. But that belongs in the NHTA thread on the US having the longest noses.
LOL, I'll live. Nylander was one of the good guys, from AIK.
The last guy from DIF origins was probably Michael Holmqvist and he sure sucked.
