Can anyone imagine what Houston would have done to Mills?

That is why you live with mediocre RG play.

The fact people doubted Kyle Long could play OT is pure stupidity. Long is a beast and I can't wait until he gets paid and we lock him for a long time.

Nobody in their right mind doubted Long could play OT. The doubt I had is that he could play OT anywhere near the level he could play OG, which he did as one of the top 5 guards in the league. He's not one of the top 5 tackles in the league yet, but he is trending upward and gets better every week.

I still feel like the running game is not the same since losing Bushrod and Montgomery. Now what I'm not sure about is whether it's attributable to losing Montgomery or Bushrod.

I wonder if there was an issue playing on the right side. I know I was a very left-handed player when I played football. As a TE, I played much better on the left side of the line. As a LB, I played much better on the strong side of the offense. I don't know that he ever played RT in college either, so maybe he's just much more comfortable on the left side of the line.

That being said, I'm not at the point where I'm OK with him being more than a swing tackle at this point. Still need to draft a tackle early and keep the option open to move Long to LT. But I'd feel really good knowing Leno could play like this if there are injuries in the future.
