No! He's Mini-Flus. His teams carry him as far as they can take him. Then it's over.
Kyles worst season in SF, in 8 years, they were 16th in offensive yards with Nick Mullens. This is better than any Bears offense in over a decade. He’s been top 5 in yards 4 years out of 8. Bears haven’t been top 5 in yards since 1977.

This stupid ass fanbase probably would've said no to Andy Reid too.

You don't win as many games as Kyle Shannahan has by accident.

If anybody is saying no to bringing him in you're an absolute idiot.

Oh, 100 percent they would've said no to Andy Reid.

People forget how he was seen as a re-tread who the league had passed by when he was let go by Philadelphia. Remember all the stuff about how his players don't respect him and he can't discipline anyone, and kept having Taco Tuesdays!? (not a joke!)

Yea, no clue why the 9ers would fire him.

Its not his fault the GM paid a buncha old hurt guys

Maybe if they have a mediocre/bad year again in 2025 they axe him, but not sure how them being bleh for one season costs him his job.

The 9ers will not fire him.

If they did, Georgie should fly out with a blank check to poach him.

And there will still be fans who would criticize the hire. Which is partly why we don’t really deserve such a fantastic coaching hire.

shanny would turn a guy with calebs talents into the best QB in the nfl.

Any bears fan who would be against it is a moron. Too bad its just a pipedream :(

So if Kyle Shanahan gets fired by the 49ers, would you want him here?
In a fucking heartbeat. Shanahan almost reminds me of a younger Andy Reid and is going through a similar scenario in SF that Reid went through in Philly.

He's an offensive guy who always seems to have a quality offense and gets more out of his QBs than expected. His team's are almost always a contender and get close but can't seal the deal or choke it away in the SB because, like Reid in Philly and early on in KC, Shanahan is yet to have that true difference making QB. Much like with Reid in Philly, the window on the current 49ers team is closing.

Calab Williams has the talent to be a GOAT candidate with an offensive HC like Shanahan. The 2 are a natural fit if this DIPSHIT organization doesnt get Williams killed first. IDK if the the 49ers fire Shanahan, but if they did I would love it if the Bears hired him.

It would be like hiring Doug Pederson or Mike McCarthy today, except Andy Reid didn’t even get a ring while in Philadelphia.

One thing Kyle Shanahan has shown is essentially zero tolerance for bullshit quarterback play. Trey Lance only had 102 career pass attempts for the Niners when they threw in the towel on him.

Bears fans are simply not ready for a guy like Shanahan. In this way George does understand his customer base, Bears fans want to give these quarterbacks a three year leash minimum every time. Shanahan would’ve benched Caleb Williams hard after that New England game, probably never to be seen in a Bears uniform again.

Thanks for a run down on stats...can he make da Bears Offense better....yes no doubt.........but can he make the in-game decisions to take a team to a SB victory? Imo he missed on that twice in SBs. How many in other playoff games? Idk. I tend not to watch playoffs. Imo, what separates great coaches from the rest, are their in-game decisions on the fly, when specific situations arise. From the little I've seen of SF, he and Flus don't pass the test for in-game decisions. But that was said about Belichick at Cleveland also....so this is for the most part an opinion and food for thought thread...which is ok.

I semi-follow PA teams and Imo you can thank Donovan McNabb for always having bad games when they needed him most. however, who really knows.

This reminds me of last year's 'speculation' of Tomlin for Bears HC. Even if the wonky SF owner decides to part with Shanahan, in what world does Shanahan choose to become the Bears HC?

Even Bill belicheck was fired from the browns and became a legend with the Pats. Same with Pete Carroll. He was fired from the Jets and Pats and won with Seahawks. Even coaches learn and improve.

I don't mind Shanahan. I don't think Purdy is that good. He is above average, but not elite. Just in a loaded offense with a great O-line. Now the weapons are hurt and O-line is not that good, you see what Purdy is.
SF O line isnt that good. Trent Williams is great, but the other 4 guys arent much to get excited about. CMC has missed most of the year and Ayuik is done for the year. That is why SF has been a .500 team this year so far.

Shanahan is still .500 with that shit show. Impressive. Eberflus would’ve been 1-9 or 2-8., even with Purdy.
