go to microcenter. Using an Asus Vivobook right now and love it. Just update the wireless card driver.

Literally every computer I've bought has been a desktop put together by some outfit that generally falls under the category of "ma and pa" outfit (i.e. small business). These Computers are built using parts anyone could order from manufacturers, if they knew what they were looking for. I have always been happy with the prices I have paid, and have always gotten systems that are close enough to the "top of the line" models to make me happy.

The last one I bought was from a place called 'Digital Planet', which is in the western suburbs somewhere (Addison township or west of there I think), and I am still using it some 7+ years after I bought it.
