Honestly I don't want Lebron, I don't want Wade. I want Rose. Rose is that same type of player and when the game is on the line- I want the ball in Rose's hands, build the team around Rose. Give me Kevin Martin and Amare Staudamire.
We all know Lebron is not leaving Cleveland and if he does-he's a douchebag.
Wade might come to Chitown and I'd rather have him rather than Lebron but Rose will soon be that SuperStar player. He's going to be like Chris Paul but BETTER< he's taller, more athletic and already has a better shot than Chris Paul had during his 3rd year in the League.

This is terrible. Simply terrible. If you would like an explanation please feel free to ask, otherwise delete this post and move on. "I don't want Lebron" lol good one.

It really depends on the players, I doubt they'll be able to hold out long. Given how many go bankrupt when they retire you just know there will be a lot who wont have money put aside to weather a full season without getting paid.

It doesn't. IMO players will be reasonable but the owners want partially guaranteed deals and a major pay reduction. There are reports they will want to pay stars like 8 mill a year. What if someone came up to you and cut your pay in half, wouldn't you be angry? Wouldn't you look for other work? IMO opinion if stuff like that goes through, players will be going to europe.

I totally agree, superstar players will have another option, with wealthy teams overseas w/no salary cap will have a buffet

The only player I would want over Lebron is Michael Jordan, lol.

I love when everyone seems so sure of what Lebron or Wade is going to do. No one knows, probably Lebron doesn't even know, if I were him I wouldn't have made a decision yet.

But I do think that the Bulls should have the money to offer him or we would never know. Also the Bulls don't need to be better than last year, Rose just has to keep showing that he is the man and someone will come.

Also IMO Rose is not that far off from Chris Paul, I will say it again. In 2 years Rose will be the best PG in the league.

I hope you are right...but lets remember...Rose is doing in the last 5 games what Paul has done the last 3 years...again, I say Tyreke will have some say in that...he already has had a better rookie season than Rose and the #1 pick in the upcoming draft is projected to be better than any of them...so we will see.

That a couple of players went to Europe (before the downturn mind you) doesn't mean anything for the viability of players moving over there wholesale. I don't think Europe is a real threat. IMO a more realistic possibility if the owners get too cheap is a rival league in the US. But I doubt it'll come to that, probably the owners will get most of what they want but make enough concessions to the players to keep them onboard.

A major part of that is starting with rumours about how terrible the new deal will be. If you think your pay is going to be halved and it's only reduced to 80% you think you won the negotiations. ;)

I think Lebron signs with Cleveland, but if he leaves, I think it will be us now, as New Jersey is complete crap, New York can't sign two max free agents, and we are as good if not better than Miami now.

Another big factor is the GOAT effect. I think this is what could push us to #1, especially if the Cavs don't even make it to the Finals. In Miami, he would have to worry about Dwyane Wade over shadowing him in the Finals or something, and stealing Finals MVP's, etc. In Cleveland, he is obviously worrying about whether he would win a championship, and you can't be the GOAT with no or one championship.

I think the GOAT factor could come heavily into our favor. Derrick Rose, as well as he has played lately, is not going to overshadow Lebron. And if we end up as a 46-48 win team this year, then you have to think Lebron is seeing this as a team that wins championship after championship when you add him in and take Salmons out.

I think it's the opposite for LeBron really, if he's really worried about being perceived as the GOAT, he needs to win with his original team. Going shopping for a better team will make him look bad.

You could be right but I think there is smoke where there is fire. Only the owners know what they are going to do but I would bet they are going to be looking for the world when close to half the owners will be losing money or breaking even.

Europe is also legit, guys have gone over there for more just on the small scale. IF salaries take a significant cut, then the gap will close. Not saying everyone will but even Kobe has talked about it.

I don't think Bron's reputation gets tarnished by leaving. Guys like Shaq, Kareem, Malone, Barkley and Chamberlin have changed teams. A few of them during their prime, a few without winning titles in the previous city and they all are regarded as greats. You get remembered where you are best.

Its going to become more and more of a reality with a heavy decrease in salary. The rich clubs will pay 20 mill per for a true allstar.

Winning more championships than MJ in MJ's building will make him the GOAT.

No doubt, this whole fiasco with him planning on going to the Nets or Knicks is disrespectful to the city he plays for and the team he plays for. I can't believe I'm the only one who doesn't really want Lebron in a bulls uniform. I perceive him as the "bad guy". IDK. I don't really like him, I'm sure he's an ok dude, and pretty funny too from what I've heard. But I just don't really want him, Lebron, Wade, or Kobe on the Bulls. Wade is my favorite player, but I want my Bulls to make it with D-Rose as the Star of the team. This guy has all the potential in the world. I want to build the team around him. Noah, Deng, Hinrich, good starts I guess. Give me Amare and Kevin Martin.

Am I the only one on these forums that doesn't really like Lebron?
He lacks respect.

I don't care who the best player is on the team, I want championships. Lebron is the best player in the league...so I have no problem with him coming here. How is he being disrespectful? He is keeping his options open...Rose may not be a franchise player, the jury is still out...he can be a secondary player...

And to answer your question...Yes, you are the only one on this forum who would take Amare and Kevin Martin over Lebron...Amare and Kevin Martin wouldn't take Amare and Kevin Martin over Lebron...

So you want championships? That's all? You'll take, Carmelo, Artest, J.R Smith, Stephan Jackson, Reggie Evans, Sebastian Telfair, Rasheed Wallace, and Larry Hughes? That's a championship team in my mind, but if I had that lineup on the Bulls, I wouldn't even watch their games, I would move to another city. Those guys R the reason why some people hate the NBA. Well, Rasheed's cool. But aNYWAY..

Not saying Lebron James is on that list but If you just want championships, idk, I guess that's cool.

And Lebron has been respectful.. He's been respectfull earlier to the Bulls dancing his ass off on the court, he's been respectful to the Magic in last year's East Finals, he's been respectful to the fans stealing a tape showing him getting dunked on, and saying he's gonna be in the dunk countest and than bail out like a little Puss, he's been respectful to his hometown, The Cleveland Cavilers, hinting to leave instead of staying with his draft team and trying to build something and quite bitching, not like MJ, he'll never be like MJ...

Sorry I'm just not that big of a fan of Lebron. Don't want em on Ze Bulls..
