How is it going to be with Reinsdorf???

Maybe their relationship will be strained

Reinsdorf has said a couple of time in the past that he doesn't like starters playing late in games and has questioned Thibs about it as well. I can only assume that Jerry was pretty pissed at thibs, fairly or unfairly.

JR said the same things to Phil when he would leave MJ in late in blowout games. And he did it ALOT. There's a reason JR is the owner & Thibs is the coach. I stick by Thibs 100% & this injury is 100% NOT HIS FAULT!

If someone is to blame for this it is only DRose himself. He is the only one who knew exactly in what condition his body was. He probably rushed things. He wasn't the same player after the first injury but he was out there and trying to play when he was not completely ready. Same thing after his second injury and blah blah blah. The guy tried so hard to be aggressive in the last game while we should have just given it more time. Like the rush would have gone in his first game. He was either stupid or hungry. I know it was the second but..There were no need for him to be so aggressive while we was not ready with the Bulls leading by 12 and one minute remaining.

I don't blame Derrick either. NO ONE IS TO BLAME. Non-contact injuries just happen. They can happen at anytime. They can happen on a non-agressive move. And I have ZERO problems with Rose continuing to attack at the end of the game. That's why I love Rose. He doesn't let up no matter the score. He, as well as the rest of the team, wanted to send a message to the Sixers. In playoffs, you don't let teams come back from a 20-point lead & give them hope going into the next game. You step on their throat & kill all their hope. The timing of the injury is incredibly unfornuate, but Rose shouldn't be blamed for planting his foot wrong as he attempted a move he's done all throughout his career.

Using blame as a first instinct.
This. It was a freak thing that happened.

Side note, no matter how many times I look at that play in your sig, it just gets more and more amazing.

It's the easiest & laziest thing to do.

I've been getting in some serious shouting matches with one of my buddies over this. He has been blaming Thibs, naturally. :smh:

I was watching the game on my phone with my girlfriend. We were sitting in the parking lot of Fox Valley Mall. At the 4 minute mark, I was getting pissed, because we had a big lead and I didn't know why we had so many starters on the floor. I even told her, I would rather sub a starter back in, when there is trouble, than let them linger on the court when the lead is so big.

Saturdays is our time, so as soon as I felt comfortable, I turned the game off and we went shopping. There was 2 minutes left, I was happy as shit because as far as I knew, the Bulls couldn't lose the game.

For the rest of the day, we did stuff and hung out. I didn't bother to check for updates or anything. I got home around midnight and checked my email. There was a news for you, type of block under one of the pages I went to. Headline was, Rose Injured Again. Well, I thought the article was old, and it didn't click with me just yet. I read the news and I was irate.

Once I cooled down, I just thought about the classic Phil and Jerry argument. I really didn't blame anyone.

Thib blamers :slap:

If we still have a chance to win it all without Rose it is because of Thibs. With another coach this team WITH ROSE would probably be an above average team in the league and nothing more.

Yeah, if this team still had VDN we wouldn't be nearly as good. Clippers would be a much better team if they had a better coach.

Exactly. I've been telling that to Thibs blamers til I was blue in the face the last 2 days. MJ played late in blowouts ALL THE TIME.

Gotta say though, I kinda envy that you were oblivious to the injury all day Saturday. I was @ the UC. It was gut wrenching. My buddy Mark described the feeling best after the game. It's as if you were making out for the first time with a girl you're head over heels for & then she gets shot in the head.

Did MJ tear his ACL at the end of a game that was most likely wrapped up?

The fact that Jerry has brought this up time and time again shows that he had a problem with it. Now that our star player went down with a serious injury, I can just imagine that Jerry had some words for Thibs.

I don't think Thibs is to blame. I just said I feel bad for thibs because of the backlash he's gotten from the fans and maybe Jerry. Just speculation on my part.

It would be funny to see if John Paxson comes to Thibs face to face just like he did to Vinny I doubt it though because Thibs has balls and would probably punch Paxson in the face.
