If he takes the job, do you think that means he already got the commitment from LeBron off the record?
Why else would you leave Michigan State, where you've had so much success, if you didn't think you'd have the chance to coach one of the worlds two best players?

Apparently MSU has scheduled a press conference for some time this evening, and word is that Izzo will stay at MSU...which pretty much implies that he would have taken the Cavs job had LeBron said he was staying in Cleveland, but his choice to remain silent on the subject got Izzo shaking in his boots about taking another crack at the NBA.

And while we're talking about LeBron, Terry Boers said today that his guy says that LeBron is a little peeved with the Cavaliers' ownership coming out and specifically stating that LeBron will not and does not have input or power over moves like choosing a head coach. Apparently LBJ has no want or intent to be that kind of superstar, but he was irked that current ownership felt the need to come out publicly and draw the line.

What Lefty said, plus just because Tom Izzo has had success at MSU does not mean that would translate well to the NBA. And really, all the money in the world does not change that fact that if Lebron isn't going to be in a Cleveland jersey next year, it ain't worth the change.
