Rip, Les. I recall listening to him back in the Larry Lujack days.

P.S. not intending to hijack, but regarding the OP - If you don't have the Athletic, I recommend you try it. Money well spent. Not expensive, and lots of good writers and material.

Sad. I used to listen to him on my way home when I used to work nights at FedEx as a second job. Haven't heard him since I quit two summers ago.

Was he sick, or was this out of the blue?

Still trying to figure out that last part. From what I’ve read it says he died suddenly at his home.

Listening to the Score today, the best I've heard is that he was out sick since Wednesday, just under the weather. Friends were telling him to go in to the hospital to get checked out. He said, "I'll go on Monday after my overnight shift on Sunday". Obviously he didn't make it.

Not sure what got him sick, it didn't sound like they knew as of mid-day on 670.
