Lamar Jackon had a better team around him and had 318 passing yards in his second game.

It's almost like having a better team around you makes it easier to do things on the field. Who would have thought?

Again, the criticism around Fields — and the gripe I have with these guys— is about how many passing yards he's throwing for in games, with no further context. These guys never stop to think about the quality of his team, or how running for such an insane amount of yardage game after game might also impact how many yards you throw for through the air because your attempts might be down. He's throwing for 7.2 yards/attempt, which is a pretty good number, but (dumb) people just see the pass yards an immediately look at him like he's Tim Tebow. When LeSean McCoy talks about Justin Fields, this is who he is effectively comparing him to.

All of his points are trash with the exception of one (potentially).

Given Fields running ability, is it less attractive to WRs to play with a running QB? Could it be harder in the future to sign a WR knowing Fields rushing could reduce receiving yards?

In more than 2-3 words.....what are your thoughts on what McCoy said??
Don't(1) care(2) one(3) bit(4).

There you have it, 4 words is more than 2-3 words.

Why did you repeat the thread title in your post? And why does everyone have to post on your terms?

What are your thoughts on what McCoy said? In 600 words or less.

That's a trash take, too.

The reason they are leaning so heavily on running and QB designed runs, is because the pass pro of this line is terrible.

Once 2-3 starters on the oline are obtained in the offseason, the amount of dropbacks where Fields will be asked to stand in the pocket and be a traditional pocket passer will be increased. The look of this offense will change. This is not a finished product.

I don't wanna assume anything......specifically, what are these pictures about ??
It was a total scam run by some lady he was banging. Happened right down the road from me. Police didn’t even bother to bring charges since
1. He had prior told her to stay away
2. When the “incident” happened, he wasn’t even in metro Atlanta (Milton)
3. She staged this, had a friend beat her up and stage a robbery for jewelry and then tried to sue McCoy and get him arrested. It didn’t work. She’s lucky the police didn’t bring charges on her. The settlement was peanuts.

McCoy is just playing the "contrarian role" in hopes to gain views and clicks. Anyone who has watched Bears football the past few weeks knows Fields is on a positive trend and is showing that he has the caliber to be a QB you build around. I'm sure we'll continue to see individuals come forward and throw a similar argument that he isn't a solution, but at this point, that view is simply to be the opposite of what is being shown and to garner attention with the hopes that Fields completely reverses his progress and they can then crow they were right. Is there a chance Fields completely crashes back to earth in terms of performance... sure, but it's a small percentage and getting smaller each outing he stacks another good performance on top of another.

@Black Rainbow your desperation is strong. particularly because you're CCS' bottom ***** today, tomorrow, next week, next month, and probably for the rest of your life. you have issues that require actual therapy, obviously.

How is that a trash take? It’s a completely fair question.

One of the things that makes Fields so dynamic, is his running ability. That skill set isn’t going to disappear with a better offensive line. A mobile QB that uses his legs is likely always going to have less pass attempts than your traditional pocket passer.

A lot of the play designs are built on his ability to run, so expecting the offense to have a drastic chance next season isn’t as realistic as your portraying it to be. Maybe it equates to a couple more traditional drop backs in the pocket, but how much more?

A lot more. Fields is a passer first.

We'll see what it looks like next season. I think he'll still run the ball, but not nearly as much once he has good protection.

Hey @Black Rainbow

300 yards and 0 TDs

Or 150 yds and 3 TDs

Which QB do you choose?

In the last three games:

The Bears Offense is tied for third best in the league at 33.3 points scored per game.

The Bears Defense is dead last in the league at 38.8 points allowed per game.

Fields is NOT the problem.

I have been a Bears fan since the 1960's, this is the first time in my lifetime that the Bears O is better than their D. I thought I was having a hard time coming to grips with that FACT, but seeing some of you dopes whine about the wrong side of the ball makes me feel much better about my own stupidity. Thanks!!!
