It's almost like having a better team around you makes it easier to do things on the field. Who would have thought?Lamar Jackon had a better team around him and had 318 passing yards in his second game.
Again, the criticism around Fields — and the gripe I have with these guys— is about how many passing yards he's throwing for in games, with no further context. These guys never stop to think about the quality of his team, or how running for such an insane amount of yardage game after game might also impact how many yards you throw for through the air because your attempts might be down. He's throwing for 7.2 yards/attempt, which is a pretty good number, but (dumb) people just see the pass yards an immediately look at him like he's Tim Tebow. When LeSean McCoy talks about Justin Fields, this is who he is effectively comparing him to.
