Sunflower seeds and maybe some of those coffee pouches and fake dips. I still have tins sitting around the house and I couldn't resist today. Made it 2 days... this is going to be a lot more difficult than anticipated.

Have you tried Jake' mint chew? I just heard a commercial about it and have to admit I am entirely stupid when it comes to know anything about chewing tobacco

Why keep them in your house if you're trying to quit? That is a recipe for failure.

Of all the stupid shit I tried and liked tobacco in any form wasn't one of them. Grew up a cowboy and all of those guys chewed. **** that. After my dirt bike crash that damn near killed me I was on vicodin for years. Decided to stop one day and that was it. Pretty rough week but it was over. Doc gave me a lecture about how dangerous it is to just stop.

Percocet guy myself. Got hooked after surgery and was tough when ran out. I understood Favre's addiction to it. It's very nice to the brain.
To me nicotine is a different animal.

I need to quit eating after 8:00 P.M. I burn so many calories between 8:00 P.M.-2:00 A.M. (3-4 nights/week) that if I could manage to simply get home, have a drink of water and go to bed I would lose the 30-40 LBS I need. I need to lose weight for my kids, wife and my future. I can't take this pressure on my knees and back.

I was a 3 pack a day smoker and quit with Chantix. Had no plans on really quitting. I ust tried it for the wife and damned if it didn't work. I had tried everything under the sun. And I didn't stop drinking either. Actually in the morning I had a brief period of nausua about 15 min after taking it. Either I barfed or it passed and a euphoria set in and I was good for the day.

Stick with it....you can do it.

Chantix was kicking ass on my habit... but then it all went south on me.
I had taken the loading dose, was a week or so in, set my quit date and hit it with hardly any cravings. then, the pill started making me absolutely puking my guts out sick when i took it. I tried braking it in half, eating a big meal, and even pepto bismal. nothing helped.
I stopped taking it, gave it a month, and immediately upon starting had the same reaction.

I think I am going to give wellbutrin a shot again- tried it years ago and stopped because it gave me insomnia.

That sucks man. I think I'll try though (if my doctor approves), I have borderline liver issues.

Can I make a recommendation? Look up keto, it's a diet that cuts carbs and sugars in favor of fats and protein. I've lost 10 pounds this month from it not counting the initial water weight.

Man we sound old and beat up.

Sad thing is I'm not even 25 yet and I'm already worrying for my long term health. Used to smoke, switched to dipping, and here I am. 7 years of tobacco use and I'm not even 25...

Sad thing is I'm not even 25 yet and I'm already worrying for my long term health. Used to smoke, switched to dipping, and here I am. 7 years of tobacco use and I'm not even 25...

i started smoking at 14 and now im 37 and still at it..i wasnt a full time smoker til 17 but i dipped too... a baseball bad habit.. ive quit at 19 for six months when i went to the military but ended up dipping when i got a chance to get some tobacco, but i went 6 months ithout... i got so sick of dipping a year later i had to smoke to quit that..

since then ive mangaed to go two weeks about 8 years ago without smokes and then last year i went a week.. i probably should quit... packs of smokes cost 20 bucks (a 25 cig pack) a pop here. i smoke roughly a half pack a day now - so 12-13..

the last time i tried to quit i got piss drunk.. not your normal drunk but one that would cause a serious hangover (mixing the spirits, beer and wine) and would require lots of sleep the next day.. i actually was so hungover, probably because im getting old now and it really takes a toll on you when you put one on now, that i slept for nearly two days.. which was good because i slept through the initial withdraw. the next 5 days sucked but i was doing it.. then i made a mistake. or i just set myself up for failure - i bought some beer then drank some jack and talked myself into a pack.. AND now a year has passed..

get on now if you can... GL
