If he don't play and sing at the same time I don't think it counts. Otherwise Prince wins this thing no contest.Does Maurice White count???
Not sure if he ever did both simultaneously, but he was a hell of a drummer that became an even better songwriter.

So, Yes, to Levon then.Maybe . Probably. Not a lot of drummer/(lead) singers. Don Henley would be another.
A far, far cry from Levon.Phil Collins
Gimme some YouTube links ya goof.
A far, far cry from Levon.
Genesis was just as influential imoLevon is, by far, my personal favorite but Collins was awfully good, a ton of hits, and was excellent as a drummer before he started leading singing. Levon was one of three lead singers and part of a hugely influential band. So apples and oranges but Levon, if the the best is among them. I’m guessing everyone has watched The Last Waltz but, if not, it is a worthwhile endeavor.
Le'veon Helm is the lesser known brother.
But godamn can that mfer hesitate his way into that stutter step to the drums.
Genesis is absolutely talented and influential, I just never listened to them much.Genesis was just as influential imo
I may be drunk. Went over my head sorry
Does he sing?
