I know everyone's been dying to know, but I ended up being able to get the Senn HD598s for $125, so I went ahead and bought them. Really like how crystal clear it sounds, and they're great for gaming. Shits insane.

Yup. I looked into every set mentioned in this thread. Eventually settled on those because of all the great reviews.

I bought a set of them and returned them. I expected a little more from my headphones. But you may like them and isn't that all that really matters?

Absolutely. I can also see myself upgrading again in the future. These are just such a huge upgrade from what I'm used to that I can't see it being my last pair of headphones when I know it gets better.
